Unfortunately it makes the rest of us look bad as well. Those of us who didn't vote for ANY of this are stuck looking to the world as part of the problem.

The UNGA speech yesterday was horrifying. Our president openly considering if he wants to commit war crimes or not followed by lambasting the Int'l Criminal Court and espousing the philosophy that "To the victor go the spoils" just makes the entire US look like the bad guys.

Food for thought. Instead of spending all your time railing on Republicans, focus on the Democrats and what they can do to increase support.

That likely wouldn't be as fun, but being a member of the party you'll have a better chance at creating change.

Friends of mine who’ve been traveling in Europe this summer make it a point to tell anyone they meet or spend much time with that they didn’t vote for him. They say the people are universally relieved.

If you don't want Republicans in office maybe focusing on changing the Democratic Party. Saying you don't believe in parties is a cop out if you're complaining about how people vote.

We'll see in November when they are handed control again. If they make meaningful strides in curtailing the orange dumpsterfire's intentions and start proceedings against his various schemes and grifts.

If they don't do something meaningful I will agree they aren't worth much. But right now it's our only hope meager as it is.

I feel sorry for the fuckers who didn't take a stand in 2024 election and didn't vote. They handed the nation to this mess and are directly responsible for it. All because they were unhappy with the failure of the DNC to anoint a perfect candidate. I think of those people as being not just complicit in the destruction of America but actually worked FOR It.

If I may ask, what is holding you back from discussing Democrats and what they can do?

I understand its more fun to talk about the other party but reading your posts one might come to the conclusion there is only one political party in America.
