“I think that, at some point, that’s going to sort of just disappear"

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – As coronavirus cases continue to increase across the United States, health officials and Democrat politicians seem to be using that statistic to fear monger and justify closure orders.

Dr. Scott Atlas of the Hoover Institute, discussed why we don’t need to be scared of the increase spread of coronavirus on Good Morning San Diego with KUSI’s Paul Rudy.

Atlas said that he has done more than a superficial analysis of the numbers, and after analyzing them, he doesn’t get scared.

Explaining, “When you look all over at the states who are seeing a lot of new cases, you have to look at who is getting infected because we should know by now, that the goal is not to eliminate all cases, that’s not rational, it’s not necessary, if we just protect the people who are going to have serious complications. We look at the cases, yes there’s a lot more cases, by the way they do not correlate in a time sense to any kind of reopening of states. If you look at the timing, that’s just a misstatement, a false narrative. The reality is they may correlate to the new protests and massive demonstrations, but it’s safe to say the majority of new cases are among younger, healthier people.”

Furthermore, Dr. Atlas emphasized the fact that the death rates are not going up, despite the increase in cases. “And that’s what really counts, are we getting people who are really sick and dying, and we’re not, and when we look at the hospitalizations, yes, hospitals are more crowded, but that’s mainly due to the re-installation of medical care for non COVID-19 patients.”

Dr. Atlas used Texas of an example saying, “90+% of ICU beds are occupied, but only 15% are COVID patients. 85% of the occupied beds are not COVID patients. I think we have to look at the data and be aware that it doesn’t matter if younger, healthier people get infected, I don’t know how often that has to be said, they have nearly zero risk of a problem from this. The only thing that counts are the older, more vulnerable people getting infected. And there’s no evidence that they really are.”

Dr. Atlas then pointed out the hospitalization length of stay is about half of what it once was.

Another attempt by a COVID denier to present the opinion of some obscure doctor as if it invalidates the opinions of the vast majority of the medical community, false paradigm, show us a hundred or so other doctors who support this guy’s view and it can be taken serious

The depression was entirely avoidable had we guaranteed everyone's wages and distributed relief aid from the bottom up, instead of from top down. That's how the Ayn Rand Institute ended up with COVID welfare money when they absolutely should not have received even a dime.

Gobbledegook. What is 'relief aid from the bottom up'? What is 'relief aid from the top down'? Where is the money to guarantee everyone's wages coming from? How much is a 'wage'?

You don't get to speak for the majority of the medical community. You only get to speak for you.

Science does not use consensus. Only religions and politics does that.

True, depending on who's dataset you use! Another indication this is all political.

The UN does not want President Trump to be re-elected. Trump points out their fakery.
The Fake News does not want Trump to be re-elected. Trump points out their fakery.
Germany and several other European nations do not want Trump to be re-elected. Trump points out their violation of NATO treaty.
The Democrats do not want Trump to be re-elected. They even 'impeached' him on charges so vague the Senate couldn't even figure out what the actual crimes were, and even violated several laws themselves to do it.

And what have they got as a candidate? Biden: a man that likes to grab little girls by their chest on national TV and who talks about his hairy legs while the children around him are visibly edging away from the guy. A man that boasts about violating federal laws, and implicates Obama in violation of those same laws in the boast. A man that is trying to run his campaign from his basement (his Mom's basement?). A man that can't even handle softball questions by reporters chosen by the Democrats, and who is given a teleprompter to answer them, with any kind of coherency. A man that doesn't even know what town he is in. A man that bails out rioters, vandals, and arsonists...and supports them.

Meanwhile Trump makes speech after speech about the Silent Majority, the working people that make this great nation of ours great. He points out the great accomplishments of the everyday worker. This from a man the Democrats refer to as 'self centered'.

The choice in November is straightforward. Either vote for tyranny, rioters, looters, arsonists, CHAZ, and all those that want to see the destruction of the Constitution of United States, to be replaced with fascism by oligarchy;
or
Vote for liberty. Vote for the Constitution of the United States. Vote for Trump, an incredible patriot that loves this country and the great people that make it possible...the everyday worker.

^Ranting like a lunatic again.

That's yesterday, July, 1st (https://apnews.com/0468a60b64947879926d2a16e45c00ee), Trump is still echoing his disastrous lines from early February, 130,000 dead Americans later

If he doesn't understand his falling in the polls all he has to do is look at his lack of empathy, not something Americans want to see from a President during a generational crisis

Yeah.....deaths/morality having fallen by over 40% is a great increase. Pandemic's are measured by the number of deaths, not the fake number of cases. Hell everyone that sneezes is now being counted as Positive for this fake bug. If one family member tests positive and there are 6 more family members in the same household......the fake CDC ASSUMES everyone is infected with having never tested any other family member. IDIOTS. The people are not as think you stupid they are............ The left has quickly run out of Senior citizens to murder in nursing homes by mandating that the infected seniors be placed in nursing homes with the most likely to die from infection...........the elderly over 70 years old. How many seniors did our great Blue State politicians actually kill......almost 50% of all deaths to date come from just 6% of the population OUR SENIOR CITIZENS.

Allow the left to explain for themselves.......NY has run out of old people to sacrifice for political power.....thus, the mortality rate is plunging. :bigthink:
