Living in San Francisco for over 20 years we've had a gay parade every year. I guess it's something you become used to. I'm sure for folks seeing it for the first time it can be quite an eye opener.

Eh, I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the Embarcadero if you are familiar with SF. I could reach out my car window and touch the fence that was separating the street and the parade/party. This dude whipped out his junk and stuck it through the fence at me. I had my window up but could have grab it if I so desired. I would surmise for most folks that's not something they have seen before. Again, very little shocks you in SF but even that was an eye opener for me.

Guess I've never considered I have a right to never be shocked. 'Course I prolly wouldn't go driving around near any parade.

I'm not speaking about "rights" to not be shocked, I'm simply saying you see things at pride parades that you don't generally see. I'm not even saying it's a bad thing but most folks don't have people put their junk right in front of your face too often.

The day it happened I wasn't aware the parade was going on and made the mistake of trying to drive across town.
