You saying ICE stopped a five year old kid getting off a school bus, keeping in mind five year olds are taught to be scared of any stranger stopping them let alone masked guys carrying guns, because they knew the kid’s father supposedly abandoned him

Well, given that roughly 2 out of 3 illegals are Hispanic from one country or another, I'd say the majority of those ICE arrests for being here illegally will be Hispanic.

Doesn't mean they're not arresting Somalis too, just that there are a lot more Hispanics needed arrest and deportation than Somalis.

Trump didn’t send two thousand of his goon squad to Minneapolis to purposely bust Latinos, if that was his intent he could have sent them to an array of other locations where there are more Latinos, he sent them there to pimp the scandal involving Somalians, keep it in the news. Unfortunately for Trump, it backfired

From the rap sheets ICE is releasing it seems that Minneapolis is a hotbed of illegals, particularly ones that have issues with the law otherwise. That appears to be because Minnesota and Minneapolis turn a blind eye to their crimes and being in the US illegally. In short, there are lots of very bad illegal criminals in Minneapolis because of sanctuary and shield policies of the government who seemingly want them there.

Your source--the Cato Institute--lies by omission. They carefully parsed their case to include only cases were someone was convicted of a violent crime. This omits those with other felony convictions, those with felony charges awaiting trial, those with serious misdemeanors, those who already have final orders of deportation, etc., against them.

When you put all those categories into the mix, suddenly close to 50% of those being arrested fit in one or more category. What Cato is doing is downplaying a policy they don't like. Of course, the expected number of illegals with criminal convictions, charges, etc., should also be expected to go down as they are arrested and deported. There will be fewer and fewer in that category.

Then the number of persons without such charges who are here illegally could be expected to rise as a percentage. Of course, you probably are advocating they shouldn't be arrested and deported if found to be in the US illegally because of some bullshit faulty reasoning like "They only came to better their life..." or some other nonsense.
