Illegal in NJ used false ID to get citizenship

I’m a “loser” because this dimwit went back and forth across the border

Did he? He stole another person's identity, Anchovies.

For all you know, he flew in on a tourist visa in that person's name, or he drove through a border crossing as a putative US citizen.

It was actually NJ police that arrested him and figured out his correct identity.
Bullshit! He was arrested after he tried to apply for citizenship using a false identity. INS flagged him. I suspect, but it isn't stated, that he did this to try and avoid deportation which he saw as likely with the Trump administration. Under Biden he had no real reason to try and become a US citizen.

How could he, MAGA said Trump closed the border

Already explained, Anchovies, and officially documented. The border is not closed to people who fly in on a tourist visa in another person's name, or to US citizens who drive through a border crossing bearing ID, is it?

That is simply untrue. They are going through a denaturalization process, because he was not arrested after he applied for citizenship. He was given citizenship after he applied for citizenship. He is right now a naturalized American citizen, which is why he must be denaturalized to take away his citizenship.

It appears he was caught committing a crime in NJ, and the NJ police tried to figure out why he had two identities under his fingerprints. They figured out that he had one identification that was an American citizen, and one that was not. They then turned it over to ICE, because they are not able to handle that type of crime.

INS flagged him.
INS has not existed for long time. And it does not flag US citizens, which is what he was, and actually still is.

He had been deported, and blocked from reentering the USA. He changed his identity to come into the USA. There is always a reason to get US citizenship, because it is darn tough to get deported once you have US citizenship... Even if you commit crimes.

Reread the original article, and see that it talks about denaturalization, that means he is a US citizen.

Why do you defend these illegals, Wrong Way Walter?

They are maiming and murdering our citizens daily.

Do you want the Democratic/Socialist/Communists to remain in power that much?

Shame on you WWW.

Walt is half-right on the legal status and inventing the rest.

Where Walt is correct

The line he calls “bullshit” — arrested after he tried to apply, before he got it — is not what the coverage says. Gonzalez-Rodriguez did obtain naturalization under the stolen identity, then later pleaded guilty to unlawfully procuring it. The court is set to revoke that citizenship at sentencing on February 1, 2027. Until that order enters, he is a naturalized citizen on paper. That is why they talk about stripping it rather than “denied at the interview.”

Also fair: after a criminal removal he was barred from coming back in his own name. Citizenship after that is a rational play — it is much harder to remove a citizen than a deportee. You do not need a Trump-only motive for that. Gardner’s “he only did it because Trump” is speculation; no public date of the N-400 or the oath.

INS is gone. It was abolished in 2003; USCIS, ICE, and CBP split the work. Saying “INS flagged him” is sloppy unless someone produces a pre-2003 file.

Where Walt is making it up

Nothing in the public record says:

  • he was caught on a new NJ street crime,
  • NJ police ran prints and found two identities,
  • one print set belonged to “an American citizen” and one did not,
  • local PD then handed it to ICE because they “can’t handle that type of crime.”

The announced investigation is Homeland Security Investigations (SAC Michael McCarthy), not a municipal fingerprint mix-up story. That detection narrative is Walt’s fanfic.

“INS does not flag U.S. citizens” is also wrong as a rule. Naturalized citizens are investigated for procurement fraud. That is this case: HSI built a 18 U.S.C. § 1425 prosecution, he pleaded, and the court will cancel the certificate. Citizenship is not a force field against USCIS/ICE/HSI.

Short version for the stupid:

He already got the citizenship under the stolen name; they are taking it away at sentencing. Walt wins that narrow point. He loses the invented NJ-cops-and-two-fingerprints story, and he loses “citizens don’t get flagged.” The agency is HSI, not INS, and the year of the crossing still isn’t public — so neither “Trump made him do it” nor “Biden’s border” is in the filing.

A convicted felon and repeat illegal entry foreign national was arrested in NJ for using a false identity to apply for US citizenship. NJ is a sanctuary state so they weren't doing shit about this. Now this guy gets double digits in prison and then deported--again.

I will never understand how Democratic states who suffer immensely from urban unrest and urban poverty, got the audacity to offer sanctuary to illegals that come to this country. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS LATINO'S AND IMMIGRANTS THAT HELPED PUT THAT WHITE BASTARD TRUMP BACK INTO THE FUCKIN WHITE HOUSE!!! Democrats need to wake the fuck up and know that although a lot of Latino's voted Blue in 2024, 47% did not and still to this day, support Trump.
