One of us makes his own way in this world and the other depends on the government.
Who's a slave?
The person who is the slave is the one who submits and works for others by saying to government 'tax me, that is ok, and i will pay for the services the rich use so they can avoid tax'.

That person is the slave to the rich and gov't.

Pardon me while I don't share your wealth and class envy because I'm American and not a stupid Commie like you.

Because you are stupid person you will NEVER understand this, but if you live in a community where your neighbors get a pass on paying property taxes and you do not, it is not class envy to say that is wrong and should not happen.

What it is that you do is class worship. You say 'I will pay the taxes that keep American roads, military, etc going so the uber rich can get a pass and not pay'.

And that is just stupid.

You should see an ear doctor. You can't distinguish the difference between "jealous" and "justice." Envy is restricted to being jealous of the hard-earned success of others, not the easy birth-success that proud people justifiably resent. Is a skilled secretary "jealous" because she resents being passed over for promotion by a less talented but sexier secretary?

And calling Commonerism "Communism" reveals that you care more about birth-class enemies than economic enemies. But Communist leaders came from the birth class you worship.

The contradiction is that if RichKids have superior genes and we should therefore let them walk all over us, then why do they need any of Daddy's Money at all to get ahead?

I am curious what everyone, left or right view on this.

Using Jeff Bezos as the example, when he dies he will likely leave substantially all of his Stock to his kids. Stock he received at a zero cost base when Amazon was created that is worth Hundreds of billions today.

Due to lobbied for tax policy Bezos has been able to just borrow money against his stock to live and never sell any stock and thus avoid the significant Capital Gains tax he would otherwise pay.

When his kids get the stock, after his death Congress due to Lobbying passed a law that the stock gets a Capital gains reset, meaning whatever the stock price is, it is trading at, now becomes the price they would set for them to pay Capital gains but all the prior gains they get free. SOmething Jeff Bezos would not have got while alive.

So not only do the kids hundreds of billions but they get it tax free on a stock gain that NEVER EVER gets taxed in the way normal citizens with stock get taxed.

Making the heirs pay the Capital Gains at inheritance still leaves them filthy rich but just allows the tax everyone else pays on stock gains to be received by government.

Would you support this transfer being taxed or do you believe the heirs should get it tax free?
Tax free.

You don't actually want any differing views.

Using Jeff Bezos as the example, when he dies he will likely leave substantially all of [ what he built personally ] to his kids.
FTFY. If I make something, why can I not give it to my kids? If you build something, do you think I want the government stepping in to prevent you from giving it to your kids?

What do you think about having National Guard and Reserve troops, who are on their monthly weekend duty, being assigned to gather up things that people make, to ensure they aren't given to the children?

Stock he received at a zero cost base when [ he created that stock all by himself ].
FTFY. Send in the National Guard. Confiscate that shit!

Due to lobbied for tax policy Bezos has been able to just borrow money against his stock to live and never sell any stock and thus avoid the significant Capital Gains tax he would otherwise pay.
... and ...? Are you saying that he is very smart?

Do you know what would really stick it to Bezos? Answer: eliminate the income tax entirely, and make him watch all the rest of us avoid all capital gains taxes just like he does, while he goes through all those gyrations for nothing.

When his kids get the stock, after his death Congress due to Lobbying passed a law that the stock gets a Capital gains reset, meaning whatever the stock price is, it is trading at, now becomes the price they would set for them to pay Capital gains but all the prior gains they get free.

So it's a win-win, and you want that applied to everyone? I'm in.

Making the heirs pay the Capital Gains at inheritance still leaves them filthy rich but just allows the tax everyone else pays on stock gains to be received by government.
So you think that the only fair option is to eliminate all capital gains and inheritance taxes entirely, for everyone. You make a great point.

Would you support this transfer being taxed or do you believe the heirs should get it tax free?
I totally agree with you that everyone should get it tax free.
