Jihadi bride, Shamima Begum, is moaning that the UK government is making an example of her. The UK government made a example of William Joyce (Lord Haw-Haw) for his act of treason during World War II by swinging him by his neck from a rope. She should think herself lucky.

When we were at war with Germany, an American citizen, Joyce, joined the Germans before America entered the war, and the British Government lied about his background to murder him, because he had broadcast to the UK for Hitler. Shamina Begun, as far as I know, took no such active part for ISIS and a State no-one recognised (i.e. 'treason' was not a relevant charge), and the UK government, totally illegally, removed her citizenship, which, if the family can afford it, will inevitably be returned by the courts. The two cases have in common only illegality, as HM knows perfectly well.
