The demonstrators are demonstrating within the confines of their own territory against a brutal occupier which squats on land which is legally Palestinian and which prevents by force the return of refugees guaranteed return by international law.

One could equally ask why, before the 1967 war, the West Bank was Jordanian and the Gaza Strip and Sinai were Egyptian? Why was there no Palestine established in 1949, when the Arabs settled for the Green Line? The Partition Plan that started the war would have given the Arabs far more land but they wanted 100%. Palestine is part of the Baathist dream to have a Pan Arabian federation and the notion of an independent Palestine is a rallying call to the Arabs.

In equating the IOF military with trigger-happy drug cartel members you are far from the truth. The ' Israeli' snipers are much worse than that.

Of course, any American should be happy to take family members near to US borders- and Palestinians should enjoy the same freedoms.

You know they could get hurt or killed... So why put them there just to prove a point?


If you were in a property line dispute with your neighbor and you knew if you cofronted him on the line it could turn violent... Would you put your eight-year-old between you and him?
