'It is serious and intense': white supremacist terror threat looms large in the US

On 6 October Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of homeland security, released his department’s annual assessment of violent threats to the nation. Analysts didn’t have to dig deep into the assessment to discover its alarming content.

In a foreword, Wolf wrote that he was “particularly concerned about white supremacist violent extremists who have been exceptionally lethal in their abhorrent, targeted attacks in recent years. [They] seek to force ideological change in the United States through violence, death, and destruction.”

YEAH...LOOK AT ALL THE PLACES "WHITE SUPREMACISTS" ARE ASSAULTING, MURDERING AND RIOTING IN OUR CITIES!!

Murder is the worst offense. Kidnapping is right under it.

So, do any of these groups practice kidnapping?

What I'm driving at is that counting just murder as the criteria is nothing short of idiotic. Violent crimes of all sorts count. We can also assign a dollar value to those crimes (and yes, we can... Insurance company actuarial practice does just that all the time). When you do that all-of-a-sudden the radical Left absolutely blows the radical Right away in terms of violence. This year alone in violent crimes, the Left has caused well over ten billion dollars in losses, and probably closer to a hundred billion. All that rioting and looting gets real expensive real fast. Property damage from destruction, arson, graffiti, and generally trashing things costs money to fix. Looting stores causes huge losses of merchandise and more repairs to those businesses. Personal injury of rioters, bystanders, and law enforcement aren't cheap. Then toss in the cost of paying law enforcement overtime, and the use of special riot equipment and munitions and that gets costly.

Some radical Right nutjob with a rifle that kills say five people in a single, stand alone incident that lasts maybe an hour or two at most is very inexpensive by comparison. That may seem callous, but that's how the world works.

So, while the radical Right is far better at killing people, the radical Left runs up the bill far beyond what the radical Right does with their mass demonstrations, riots, looting, and general low grade violence in mass.

That's why I say the using the measure of just a body count is idiotic. It ignores the very real, and very expensive, other violence that goes on and mostly from the radical Left.

Homeland Security is not anecdotal. Get lost, bozo.

They are an entirely unnecessary government bureau chock full of swamp monsters and jackboot fascists.

Obama was training them to be like Stasi. They weren't far from that to begin with.

The Patriot Act, and W. Bush were/are a blight in the history of America.

So, do any of these groups practice kidnapping?

Gov. Whitmer.

What I'm driving at is that counting just murder as the criteria is nothing short of idiotic. Violent crimes of all sorts count.

Destruction of properties is different from hurting people physically.

We can also assign a dollar value to those crimes

There is no dollar value on human lives.

Some radical Right nutjob with a rifle that kills say five people in a single, stand alone incident that lasts maybe an hour or two at most is very inexpensive by comparison. That may seem callous, but that's how the world works.

Yeah that's pretty callous. Would you be willing to tell the Jew victims that?

That's why I say the using the measure of just a body count is idiotic. It ignores the very real, and very expensive, other violence that goes on and mostly from the radical Left.

In other words, let's ignore the threat.

Gov. Whitmer.

A single case, hardly a compelling argument.

Destruction of properties is different from hurting people physically.

No, it's not. Both have an economic value that can be assigned to them. In both cases, it is generally accepted that use of force, including deadly force, can be used to stop someone from doing either. That's right. You can shoot somebody trying to commit say, arson and you can shoot somebody who's beating the snot out of another person.

There is no dollar value on human lives.

If that's true how many "starving kids in Africa or Central America, or wherever are you giving up $25 a month to support? How would life insurance work if that were true? We put a dollar value on human life all the time.

Yeah that's pretty callous. Would you be willing to tell the Jew victims that?
An irrelevant appeal to emotion. Yes, I would. I would also tell it to all those people that get beaten by Antifa.

In other words, let's ignore the threat.

Wrong. To ignore the threat is to say that only murder / the body count is relevant. That ignores all the lessor violence and destruction going on. It means that a mass of very violent and destructive mass of Leftists are ignored in favor of concentrating on the occasional but deadly Rightist who is better at killing people in an individual act.

A single case, hardly a compelling argument.

Wasn't making an argument. The point is the threat and it's there.

Correct.

If that's true how many "starving kids in Africa or Central America, or wherever are you giving up $25 a month to support? How would life insurance work if that were true? We put a dollar value on human life all the time.

You're comparing that to murder?

An irrelevant appeal to emotion. Yes, I would. I would also tell it to all those people that get beaten by Antifa.

That wasn't an appeal to emotion. It was a simple question. You yourself said it seems callous. I was agreeing.

The number/count has nothing to do with it. Nobody is ignoring destruction. That needs and IS being dealt with already.

Do you or do you not agree that the threat needs to be addressed?

Exploitation of Lawful and Protected Speech and Protests

During the course of developing the HTA we began to see a new, alarming trend of exploitation of lawful protests causing violence, death, and destruction in American communities.

This anti-government, anti-authority and anarchist violent extremism was identified by DHS in September 2019 when we published our Strategic Framework for Countering Terrorism and Targeted Violence.

As the date of publication of this HTA, we have seen over 100 days of violence and destruction in our cities. The co-opting of lawful protests led to destruction of government property and have turned deadly.

Domestic violent extremism is a threat to the Homeland.

As Americans, we all have the right to believe whatever we want, but we don’t have a right to carry out acts of violence to further those beliefs.

The Department works with other Government, non-Government, and private sector partners to prevent individuals from making this transition from protected speech to domestic terrorism reflected by violence.

As Secretary, I am concerned about any form of violent extremism. That is why we design our programs to be threat agnostic – ensuring that we can combat a broad range of domestic threats.

However, I am particularly concerned about white supremacist violent extremists who have been exceptionally lethal in their abhorrent, targeted attacks in recent years. I am proud of our work to prevent terrorizing tactics by domestic terrorists and violent extremists who seek to force ideological change in the United States through violence, death, and destruction

THe violent change threat is almost all from the left, what are labeled white supremacist extremists are mostly those who stand up to defend the constitutional order from the Revolution.

It is your obligation to find out the truth, to see when you are being lied to by power.

Obviously no one on the left here is capable of actually reading the threat assessment. As usual just going by whatever media source they follow to fit in with their narratives word. They rely on stupidity, you on the left pay them handsomely every time.

From the actual threat assessment: " The domestic threat environment is rapidly evolving. Operational reporting shows that DHS law enforcement officers suffered over 300 separate injuries while they were present during months of nightly unrest in Portland, Oregon. This is but one example among many across the country, including in Brooklyn, New York, and Kenosha, Wisconsin, where law enforcement officers have been injured or killed. These increasingly pervasive incidents highlight the threat of anarchist violence that has accelerated in our cities in recent months."

Take the time to find it and read it. Dumb assess.
