Biden could have pulled a Trump and just extended it again so Trump would be dealing with it this term. Of course then Trump would have extended it again until he was out of office.

I think that first question is something Trump has failed to answer and that is a big problem here. If regime change is the goal, then far more pressure is needed on Iran to bring that about. If it is ridding Iran of nuclear weapons development, that's probably going to take a full-scale invasion and is likely unachievable. Opening the Strait fully requires regime change. Anything less and the ayatollahs will just try again.
