It’s Manafort Friday!

She has? How many times?

Remember when she "couldn't find" those Rose law firm files that were right there in the White House?

You want me to give you a number? *incredulous look*

She defended big corporations for years. Cons should be happy about that.

She was an associate at the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas.
she was a corporate litigator. i looked it up yes

She could have had a good gig flying around the world giving speeches/events for the Foundation.
She would be the grand dame of the Dems now, instead of a laughing stock of an excuse ridden loser..

Sometime you need to pass up the grasp at the brass ring

She was an associate at the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas.

She was a scumbag even then.

One of Hillary Clinton’s first assignments as a corporate lawyer landed her far from her roots. She helped overturn a ballot measure that increased electric rates for businesses and lowered them for the poor.

“Instead of defending poor people and righting wrongs, we found ourselves squarely on the side of corporate greed against the little people,” her colleague, Webb Hubbell, later wrote.

The future presidential contender worked for 15 years as a corporate litigator at the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas’s capital, longer than any other position in or out of government. Her portrait still hangs in the firm’s downtown offices.

Yet that chapter in her life has been all but excised from the official Hillary Clinton story. She hardly ever mentioned it on the campaign trail. Her husband skipped past it when telling her life story at the DEMOCRAT National Convention. Until August, 2016 it wasn’t even mentioned on her campaign’s official biography.

It illustrates a pattern apparent through Mrs. Clinton’s career and into this year’s presidential campaign: She emphasizes different roles for different audiences.

This characteristic leads many supporters to predict she would build governing coalitions if she becomes president. Opponents, including some on the left of her own party, conclude it means she lacks core convictions.

The duality was on display in transcripts of paid speeches Mrs. Clinton gave to Wall Street firms before she entered the presidential race. As a candidate, she has emphasized the need for tough regulation of Wall Street. In those addresses, she pointed to the industry’s contributions.

I have more damaging details. :D

Various publications sought to analyze the likelihood of Clinton's successful results.

  • The editor of the Journal of Futures Markets said in April 1994, "This is like buying ice skates one day and entering the Olympics a day later. "
  • Her activities involved exposure to losses that potentially could have been greater than her family's net worth if the market had turned sharply against her.
  • The former head of the IRS chief counsel’s Commodities Industry Specialization Team expressed skepticism that a novice trader could make such a return.
  • One analysis performed by Auburn University and published in the Journal of Economics and Finance claimed to find that the odds of a return that large during the period in question were about one in 31 trillion.

You forgot something. "Clinton made her money by betting mostly on a market downturn at a time when cattle prices actually doubled."[SUP][12]

And

Clinton's defenders also stressed that Blair and others stayed in the market longer than Clinton and lost much of what they had previously earned, showing that the risk was real.[SUP][3][/SUP] Indeed, some reports had Blair losing $15 million[SUP][22][/SUP] and Bone was reported as bankrupt.[SUP][7][/SUP]

You forgot something.

I forgot nothing. What Y O U forgot was the fact that (perhaps because of her husband's position) the trades were supposedly performed on her behalf by Robert L. "Red" Bone, a Refco employee, who somehow didn't call her margin when her losses exceeded $100 K.

Clinton initially told aides that she had made the futures gains by studying the financial news and placing trades herself, but later acknowledged the help of Blair. :D

Are you serious? Conservatives LOVE corporate greed. What a beneficiary she was to those companies so dearly loved by trump and his cultists. :awesome:

From what I understand what he got jailed for barely qualifies as obstruction.

Which raises the question of why Mullet bothered with it. Is Mullet that desperate to get something out of Manafort that he’d throw him in jail prior to conviction?

Certainly appears that way.

You suffer from a lack of understanding.
