The Biden administration moved in June to dismantle a system designed to protect American citizens trapped abroad — just months before the Taliban took over Afghanistan, stranding thousands of Americans in the Central Asian country.
Fox News has obtained the June 11 memo sent around the State Department which gave the green light on the "discontinuation of the establishment, and the termination of, the Contingency and Crisis Response Bureau (CCR)."
The sensitive but unclassified memo was signed by Deputy Secretary of State Brian McKeon, just a couple of months before the Biden administration’s botched troop withdrawal that saw Afghanistan fall under Taliban control.

Well, I could have predicted that this was how the war was going to come to an end-no matter who was the president that brought them home during his/her administration.

Because I remember what a disaster it was when we pulled our last troops out of Vietnam.

The only reason why Biden's approval ratings dropped 7 percentage points in the last week, is because the people that make up that 7 percentage point drop- probably are not old enough to remember Vietnam.

Presidents are popular one minute, and unpopular the next with some people- and then they change their minds back and forth again and again. Polls that provide their ratings go up-down-and up- and down!

It's like taking someone's temperature- it fluctuates in both directions. When you are hot- you're hot- and when you are not- you're not!

I think his drop in approval ratings is only temporary!

Yeah, there were some bad results (so far)...but anyone who thought that was not going to happen is an idiot. The day we went into Afghanistan, the chaos happening right now became inevitable.

Yea Biden did something. He fucked up. Any sane person knows you get Americans out of the country BEFORE you withdraw the American troops that defend them. All Biden did is create over 10,000 potential American hostages.

His predecessors just talked talk...and did nothing.

Yeah...Joe Biden could have avoided all this by doing what other presidents have done for the last 20 years...

Yes, and we have a real leader who takes responsibility for his part. He couldn’t do much about the deal Trump made with the terrorists.

20 fucking years was and in 6 months, it belongs to Biden. That was stupid. Biden owns the evacuation, which is surprisingly humane for the Taliban. Over 70percent of Americans wanted out of Afghanistan. That includes rights. In a few weeks, we will have Afghanistan in the rearview mirror as we move on. We will not be spending lives and treasury in a middle east war. The Trumpys do not like that. They obviously want to stay.l
