july 17 2020Washington (CNN)Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Friday she is undergoing chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of cancer. The treatment is yielding "positive results."
The liberal justice, 87, said she remains "fully able" to continue in her post.

Earlier this week, Ginsburg was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after having a fever and chills, and undergoing an "endoscopic procedure to clean out a bile duct stent that was placed last August," the court said at the time.

Ginsburg said her cancer treatment is unrelated to this week's incident.

Friday's statement indicates that the pancreatic cancer Ginsburg was treated for in 2009 has returned again, this time in her liver, and that she tried one of the new immunotherapies for cancer, but it failed to shrink the tumors. It is not liver cancer.

Gemcitabine is a standard chemotherapy treatment that is a mainstay for pancreatic cancer that has spread.
Ginsburg has had several bouts with cancer. She had radiation therapy for the pancreatic cancer in 2019 and had some tumors taken out of a lung in 2018. She had colon cancer in 1999.

Someone can't do their job if they are taking drugs that a quack thinks they should be taking?

You mean like Trump and hydroxochlorquine?

Ginsburg certainly hasn't held any rambling news conferences that prove she is in the throws of dementia, unlike a certain President. I'll bet she can lift a glass to her mouth using only one hand and doesn't have difficulty walking on a ramp.
 
Trump will be nominating another Justice soon. Furthermore,...the senate will blast it right through with the nuclear option. She will be stepping down soon,....its the right thing to do. Leftwing tards can protest all they want to,....there is literally NOTHING they can do to stop it. Better yet,....they KNOW they cant stop it. ;) :cool:

What we really need is a president who will say "Judges do not write laws. The constitution says only congress can write laws. I will not enforce laws written by judges and that means roe v wade and plyler v doe are history."

But trump won't do that. He doesn't even understand the issue.
 
Im sure right now there are people in positions of power investigating the steps that need to be taken to remove a sitting Supreme court justice. Written for a scenario that could occur just like this one...... ;) :cool:

McConnell shot himself in the foot on that one with Garland. There are at least four Senators (like all of them up for re-election) who won't even consider any nomination. Sorry, losers. Even if Ginsburg passed away, Trump won't get another pick. The Senate doesn't have the stomach for that fight on behalf of Trump. No chance. Ted Cruz? ROTLFMFAO!!! Every one of his peers hate him.

If McConnell wants to stay in the Senate he will have that fight
 
She can be impeached NOT for committing any crime or untoward behavior, but for the simple fact that due to her many health concerns she is simply unable to do her job anymore. I would think it would be a slam dunk impeachment. In fact,... due to her advanced age and rapidly declining health I think she would simply step down from her position instead of putting herself thru that kind of lets be honest here..." TORTURE". All it would take for her to step down is for her to know for certain that the impeachment threat was real and not just a bluff.
