Just voted for El-Sayed.

Can Democrats win both chambers of Congress?

It doesn’t happen often.

Since World War II, the House and Senate have flipped from one party to the other in the same midterm just three times: 1946, 1994 and 2006. The common thread when it does happen is an electorate clamoring for change or broad frustration with the sitting president.

This year has both, and Democrats are trying to capitalize on the opportunity.

Great analysis, thanks. Let's hear from the people who put their money where their mouth is, the Vegas odds-makers:

The Haley Stevens betrayal of her supporters will lead to a El Sayed victory (I hope).

It will. The national media are trying to make a big deal out of it, but it's mostly a nothingburger.

I voted for her in the primary mostly because I knew that a certain number of voters would have trouble with El-Sayed's name and religion. Once he won though and I started following his statements and policies more closely, I could see why he won. He reminds me a lot of Obama when he first appeared on the national stage. He has a message that resonates with empathy for our economic woes and with hope for a change for the better. He kept his ads in line with that message. People want positivity, hope, unity. We don't want fearmongering, bigotry, hate, and division, which is all Rogers (and his butt-buddy Trump) are selling.

Rogers does not seem to be popular in Michigan. And being a Trump Party is hurting.
