Agreed in part; Trump's base will most certainly want the party to go their direction but their direction isn't working. It's imploding.
What I hope happens is that most Republicans just abandon that sinking ship and flock to another party. Building from scratch is hard, but taking over one of the present parties is a start and then fill it with experienced Republicans who go back to their roots of focusing upon national security and business.
The natural dichotomy of views means a conservative viewpoint will be organized to represent Americans who lean conservative. It's part of a natural balance within the rules of the Constitution.
While it's possible for 3 or more parties to rise equally, since ours is not a parliamentary style government, it usually evolves into two opposing parties.
I saw no Democratic party flags associated with support for that property damage, or Democratic aligned media that supported that violence and property destruction.
Even if one half of Trumplicans follow Trump and the other become Republican reclaimed, in 4 years they will all still vote

One party, one candidate, yes. I expect a split with competing candidates. Even so, I doubt the conservatives can mount a strong enough campaign take back either house of Congress in 2022 much less unseat Harris in 2024.
The ball is in the Democrat's court. It's up to them to lose the Senate in 2022 allowing Republicans to take it back.

A voting majority of 80 Million voters voted Donald Trump out- as only 74 million voters- now known as the voting minority- voted to keep Donald Trump in power.
Almost 4 million High school students graduate High School in America every year, and THE SURVEY SAYS most of them vote for the Democrats that register to vote. That age group is the fastest growing group for the Democrats! 8 Million more to be of age, registered by the Democrats and ready to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
And by the time the 2020 Census finally gets completed, and new voting districts are re-drawn in every state, GERRYMANDERING WILL GO AWAY, and the REPUBLICANS will lose their grip on many red states across AMERICA.
And many states, including red states, are deciding to scrap the WINNER-TAKE-ALL and go with District DELEGATION in the way they decide elections.
