Wirskye told the court on Thursday that Anthony had a documented obsession with knives and fighting, as well as a juvenile history of “not keeping his hands to himself” and a juvenile case involving racially charged graffiti, KDFW said. Another piece of evidence that wasn’t introduced at trial, Wirskye said, was evidence that Anthony’s ex-girlfriend told a vice principal at school that she was scared of the defendant.

Text messages recovered from that morning show Anthony writing “I’m low key on the verge,” a statement Wirskye emphasized as evidence that he was looking for trouble.

The prosecutor further revealed that Anthony had a history of violence, had previously been taken by his parents to a special program at LSU for children who could not keep their hands to themselves, and was obsessed with starting fights.

Most chillingly, Wirskye shared a text in which Anthony fantasized about stabbing someone and then licking the blood off the blade, adding that Anthony “wanted to stab someone.”
