Let's talk about immigration policy

In a way I didn't ignore it. I stated that undocumented immigrants with DACA kids could be allowed to stay by paying in to social security yet never receiving benefits. Not a bad penalty for breaking the law. They are free to go back to their country, work and receive their social benefits there.
The reason that bill failed is because it opened the door for citizenship to undocumented immigrants who avoided ICE for numerous years. No penalty for breaking the law, in fact being rewarded for it.
Typical liberal philosophy in general - reward irresponsibility, penalize personal responsibility. Upside down ass backwards.

So my original premise was correct - open borders to anyone who manages to avoid ICE.
Forget DACA. What about the bi partisan bill that House Libertarians wouldn't allow a vote on? Obama called for military service, a fine for those here illegally, and other compliance issues that led to citizenship. There was no reason for House Libertarians to block it...other than them just being Libertarians.

The Democrats who craft strategy won't admit it, and most on this forum don't understand it, but it's pretty simple. They want an issue they can use to call Republicans racist. They don't want a solution, just a wedge issue to fundraise and campaign on. Obama had the presidency, Democrats controlled the House and had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. They could have passed any immigration bill they wanted, yet they passed nothing. Make sense?
Dems had a super majority for 75 days. And three Senators were really Republicans who jumped ship. There was a very good immigration bill that died in the House more than once. Get your facts straight.

What is it liberals want? All countries have immigration laws. E.g., if I'm in Italy for a prescribed length of time I must register or be kicked out.
Currently we are pretty much the same.
Seems to me that libs believe that if a citizen of another country sneaks in and stays for a long enuf period of time they should automatically become citizens with all rights and privileges even tho they broke existing laws.

DACA. As of now their status is in limbo, same as when Obama was president. Even then they were under Temporary Protected Status. Key word being "temporary ". Trump is trying to get the temporary status removed yet dims are blocking that.

Trump has made it very clear what he wants.
Dims... I have no idea. Hence, very dim.

So do libs want open borders and anyone can come in , fill out a form that is translated into their language, take an oath and become a citizen? That's my understanding.

Liberals want open borders, but only if they think they are going to vote for the Party of the Jackass.

You don't understand shit.
The GOP supports immigration to depress wages.
Illegals don't vote for Dems either so don't bother that tired old saw.

You're a moron on steroids. You cannot hire illegals without the threat of prosecution and illegals don't work in high wage fields.

They had a majority; why do you think they needed a super majority? They can't work with the opposition?

Do Republicans have a super majority? No; yet they passed their tax bill without a single Democrat vote. Once again you are full of shit. Not a surprise.

But he had a Democrat controlled congress that shoved Obamacare through. They had plenty of time to start fixing border security. Sorry sport you lefties keep saying Obama isn't in office any more well Bush isn't either.
Who is screaming loudest about Trump building the wall. Yep you got it the Democrats.

You're a moron on steroids. You cannot hire illegals without the threat of prosecution and illegals don't work in high wage fields.

yet you failed to refute...
