Any chance that it was the fascists who completely ruined it? An ideology that tends to lead to genocide will tend to look bad.

I think the fascists made fascism look bad. Hitler was an extremely bad fascist, but even the best fascist, Franco was very bad. You seem desperate to blame everyone but the fascists themselves.

Communism has a similar problem. The anarchist communists can never organize things, and the statist communists always start killing a lot of people.

The Nazis killed millions of people in concentration camps. That seems like the real evil here. Making a big deal about the killing of millions of people does not seem like it is evil, especially not when compared to actually killing millions of people.

Let us move on to the term "Alt Right". The Alt Right gave themselves the name Alt Right. There is nothing intrinsically insulting about the term. I personally love Alt Rock.

The problem with the term "Alt Right" is it became associated with the Alt Right. The actual people in the movement polluted the term. They can change their name, but that will not change who they are. Each new name they use will become associated with them.

The problem is the right wing violence, and not the terms used.
