Funny part about this thread is that the source is Fauci’s personal diaries, his diaries, thoughts to himself. Rand Paul, who Fauci owned in hearings, publicly distributing Fauci’s diaries, hundreds of pages dispersed which the right wing media cherry-picked preceding yet another Paul hearing
And for what purpose? Fauci is 85 years old, has been out of the spotlight for four years, and has immunity? What are they going to do refer him to DOJ for lying based on entries in a diary?

TBH, at the time I felt like it might have been the Chinese gov't that let that virus out:
1) it was especially lethal against old, obese people with underlying health conditions --> bullseye on America
2) Trump spent that last half of 2019 saying "I just won a trade war against China", so Xi was not happy with the US at the time
3) The Chinese population is coming into a crunch where they have a massive population of old people who no longer contribute to the economy, yet drain a lot of resources and take up a lot of housing space
4) Their newest "contributor generation" is a bit low, because they come from the period when China was restricting the number of babies that there allowed to be born
5) In addition to the crunch of a smaller contributor generation, and a burgeoning elderly population, within the Chinese community the younger generations spend a lot of time taking care of their elderly folks, which drains the workforce even more
I would posit that the Chinese stood to gain from a virus like covid getting out, and that they could see how much more it would affect America than most other countries.

Most Canadians don't even know about Trudeau's Hitler speech against the unvaxed. He was on a French-language show when he said this:
