...to highlight to the brightest degree possible that people like you are a scourge to society...and that in order to become a better place, you people have to be contained in some way.
I'd like that "containment" to be accomplished in as humane and civilized a way as possible...preferably through the electorate drubbing you guys at the polls.
BUT...back in Germany during the 1930's...the people supporting Hitler should have been "contained." It was not accomplished at the ballot box. So...it may have to happen some other way.
The "containment" may come from elsewhere. We who oppose you here in the US may not be able to accomplish it.

libertarianism has its flaws certainly. Ultimately, people provide the strength to defend governments - if not enough people are willing to defend it, it will collapse from within. What you call squishy is pragmatic

Any true Libertarian...any committed Libertarian would abandon the United States...would abandon almost any of the industrialized countries, because the industrialized world will always be further away from Libertarianism than the third world.
Libertarians might move to Australia (one of the industrialized nations), but only to live in the out-back. Libertarians might move to Brazil (another of the industrialized nations), but only to live in the Amazon jungle. Libertarians would move to Somalia...where almost no government exists.

my views are extremely well defined. Issues that need to be solved by the federal apparatus belong to the federal apparatus 99% of the issues you force on the feds can be handled by the states though. You do this for political convenience. you could easily allow the 50 states to decide for themselves, but some of them will decide in a manner you don't like, and your inner dictator can't stand that
