Man Dies, Wife Critical From Chloroquine After Hearing Trump Tout

No doubt he was referencing the 20 patients who actually received treatment, not the other 16 who didn't.

Results
Six patients were asymptomatic, 22 had upper respiratory tract infection symptoms and eight
had lower respiratory tract infection symptoms.
Twenty cases were treated in this study and showed a significant reduction of the viral
carriage at D6-post inclusion compared to controls, and much lower average carrying duration
than reported of untreated patients in the literature. Azithromycin added to
hydroxychloroquine was significantly more efficient for virus elimination.
.
You should title the study so that it seems to cover global warming, then they'll believe everything about it and some short girl will shout at you and blame you for her bad childhood somehow.

The partisans who attempt to blame this on Trump have no shame, and display a level of TDS that is difficult to fathom.

trump has no business touting a drug that's untested for Covid 19. As usual he's going by his feels, and claims that he has a natural ability in science. There are some people who will trust him as an authority figure and never check for themselves the BS he's peddling.

"At a Thursday news briefing, Trump trumpeted that chloroquine had shown “very, very encouraging early results” and said “we’re going to be able to make that drug available almost immediately.” Minutes later, FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, an oncologist, clarified that the drug would be available “in the setting of a clinical trial — a large, pragmatic clinical trial — to actually gather that information and answer the question that needs to be answered and — asked and answered.”

On Friday, the president said, “It may work, it may not work. I feel good about it. That’s all it is. Just a feeling.”

One thing a liar like you can be counted upon is to lie some more. I never said it was useless. Like the medical experts said, it's needs more testing before being handed out as a cure. What if it kills 1.5% of those treated? Then we'd have a cure that is literally worse than the disease.

People who understand medicine and/or science know exactly what I'm talking about. Those who rely upon lies and political extremism do not.

Fuck off sock. Ignored.

Tell us, lab tech, how would you have designed a more efficacious experiment given the same number of patients and symptoms. Keep in mind that experiments require adequate controls, cunt, since apparently you were unaware of that. :rofl2:

Cunt, you make sure the control group and the treated group are at the same stage of infection. From a comment in the link that you obviously failed to read, cockbite.

“Prof. Christian Drosten from Charite Berlin commented on this and was not so impressed.
He sees a big problem with the design of the study. He said that the patients in the Chloroquine group were all much further progressed in the disease than the control group and he thinks the superior reduction in viral load was mostly due to the natural healing process that was further along in the Chloroquine group compared to the control group.”

Surely a larger, well designed study can be done soon to settle this.”

Ignorant cunt

The man's wife told NBC News she'd watched televised briefings during which President Trump talked about the potential benefits of chloroquine. Even though no drugs are approved to prevent or treat COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, some early research suggests it may be useful as a therapy.

"We were afraid of getting sick."

The name "chloroquine" resonated with the man's wife, who asked that her name not be used to protect the family's privacy. She'd used it previously to treat her koi fish.

"I saw it sitting on the back shelf and thought, 'Hey, isn't that the stuff they're talking about on TV?'"

The couple — both in their 60s and potentially at higher risk for complications of the virus — decided to mix a small amount of the substance with a liquid and drink it as a way to prevent the coronavirus.

"We were afraid of getting sick," she said.

Within 20 minutes, both became extremely ill, at first feeling "dizzy and hot."

"I started vomiting," the woman told NBC News. "My husband started developing respiratory problems and wanted to hold my hand."

She called 911. The emergency responders "were asking a lot of questions" about what they'd consumed. "I was having a hard time talking, falling down."

Shortly after he arrived at the hospital, her husband died.

They decided their DOSAGE...HOW, EXACTLY??

SOLID PROOF THAT THERE ARE STILL SOME DUNCE-O-CRATS IN ARIZONA....

From a fucking comment? Are you fucking serious you stupid, ignorant cunt? You didn't read the study, but you based your opinion of the study on some comment that one person made??? :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Definitely proves you were never more than a sample analyzer lab tech.

From the actual study, not what some commenter had to say:

No significant difference was observed between hydroxychloroquine treated patients and control patients with regard to gender, clinical status and duration of symptoms prior to inclusion.

Pathetic, even from you, LAB TECH. From the fucking comments. Try thinking for yourself, loser. :rofl2:

You mean like wrecking the economy

Do you any reason to believe that drugs that have been approved and in use for decades will kill 1.5% of patients? Don't you think that type of statistic is readily available? Don't you think these drugs, that have been safely used for decades would have been pulled from the market if they had been killing people in those percentages? You pretend to be knowledgeable on this subject, but you clearly didn't think this through. Your TDS caused you to reflexively attack without understanding.

Thanks for confirming you support putting American lives at risk over a treatment in favor of the Almighty Dollar.

Just so you and I are clear, what value do you put on an American life? $1K? $1M? $10M? What about the lives of your family? How many dollars are they worth? Numbers please so we can be clear about your position, sir.

The fact remains this drug has been tested for malaria victims and has known risks. If you were as smart as you think you are, you'd know that fact and also know it's not been used widely for treatment on this disease. Still, your position on money over American lives is clear and I'm curious about your reply on the value of an American life.

You are, of course, free to run from answering or to use a sock puppet to distract and avoid answering that way. Either way, a non-answer will be seen as less than honorable on your part.

So the economic impact shouldn't be considered at all? Got it. Let's just require all commerce to shut down and everyone to stay inside their homes for the next 365 days. That way we could be sure to stop the spread, right? Anything less shows that you value "the almighty dollar" over human life. Your disingenuous question is moronic. Let me ask you a question. If you could travel back in time and kill Hitler when he was a baby would you do it?

Your mention of the risk of treatment is just plain moronic. Anyone who the treatment is being tested on is already at risk of dying from the virus itself. Get better at debating, troll.

Thank goodness a fool like you isn't in charge of our country. There is obviously a balance to be struck between economic impact and public health. If you can't wrap your brain around that, you have my pity. If you're just being disingenuous, you have my contempt.

As far as using a drug that is already approved to treat one indication to treat a different indication, it is far safer than approving a brand new drug. If you weren't an utter moron you would know that. If you were one quarter as smart as you think you are, you'd know that it can take years to approve a drug that's already on the market for a new indication. Do we have a year to find a way to treat Covid-19 patients, DU-h? NYC is expected to have peak outbreak in less than a month. How many valuable American lives might be lost without an effective treatment? Thanks for demonstrating that you're far more interested in scoring political points than finding solutions to problems. Hallmark of a Democrat.

I just did dipshit. I pulled a quote from the actual study that directly contradicted what your commenter said. A fucking comment! :rofl2:

Edit: I just went to the site and left a comment myself, you stupid fuck. ANYONE can leave a comment!

I think the draw here, which is why DT touted this drug, is that it offers hope in what seems like a hopeless situation.

Hope is a good thing, but care must be taken to avoid placing too much belief in something which is unproven.

The problem with hoping this drug will be a game-changer is the let-down if it is not.

Logic must prevail.

Here is some simple logic:

If this was really the easy solution it is hoped to be, it would have been used widely and effectively before this.

It almost sounds too good to be true, that a solution to this disease which has eluded every nation it has struck before it exploded here, could suddenly be found just in time to prevent a catastrophic event in the USA. Perhaps there is a bit of US exceptionalism at work to think that we alone could solve this problem which has eluded the rest of the world thus far.

And you know what they say about something that sounds too good to be true.

It usually is.

Different stages, dumbfuck. And not even exhibiting similar symptoms. One patient was so advanced, they died before the trial ended.

Stupid fucking cunt. :rofl2:

Sad, but when you start out with a lie, compound it with insults and then don't even answer the question, you clearly define yourself, sir. Sad.

I read the study, cunt, Different stages.

Checkmate

You obviously didn't cunt. The study clearly stated that "No significant difference was observed between hydroxychloroquine treated patients and control patients with regard to gender, clinical status and duration of symptoms prior to inclusion."

Duration of symptoms prior to inclusion = stage. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. That's ok, it's above your pay grade, LAB TECH. You based your moronic post ON A FUCKING COMMENT. What a pathetic clown! Did I mention that I left a comment on the site, lab tech? Go look. Anyone can leave a comment on that site. You thought it required some kind of accreditation! Fucking fool! :rofl2:
