No we know why the POS wouldn't comply with police, if there was a gun in his car u can bet if he got his hands on it he would have used it

Gun History and wanted for third-degree sexual assault RAPE (felony)

Fleeing felon rule

At common law, the fleeing felon rule permits the use of force, including deadly force, against an individual who is suspected of a felony and is in clear flight.[1]

By the felon defying the cop’s orders at gunpoint and then going into his car where the cop could not see what he was doing or going after he made himself a credible threat that had to be neutralized. Even if he didnt have a gun in the car. A 4000lb car is a deadly weapon

WANTED FELONS are not innocent

The courts might see it that way. Right now I think the police officer(s) who shot him are thinking they should have waited a few more seconds until Blake actually sat in his car and started it to flee.

Poor dumb hill billy redneck hick, cowering with his mommy and scouring rightwing web sites looking for stories about the scary Black people and how it is OK for police to be the judge and jury

So, because this guy was wanted on multiple violent felonies and tried to escape from police custody, he was shot. Too bad for him. Maybe if he survives, he can learn not to be so stupid next time... That is after he does several decades in prison...

Actually volsrock is correct. The police had this guy under arrest. They were obviously going to cuff him up and take him away. He decided to flee. They shot him because the charges against him made him a violent and clear threat to the public. Escaping from arrest also means that so long as the officers have maintained clear contact with the felon, they can shoot that person without warning.
In this case, they tried repeatedly to verbally stop him even at gunpoint before it became clear he intended to flee the scene. So they shot the moron like they were trained to do-- center mass (in the chest), three round bursts, stop the action. The officer did exactly as he was trained to do in that situation. The idiot that got shot brought that totally and completely on himself.

Hard to miss at point blank range. Everyone is going to Monday Morning Quarterback this until it's resolved in court because it's not as cut'n'dried as you make it to be.

Yes, there's a fleeing felon rule but the police had multiple options lesser than deadly force at the point Blake was shot in the back multiple times at point blank range including beating him in the head with the pistol.

The POS had a warrant for sexual assault RAPE and obviously wasn't going quietly.

Do they let him reach into the car to grab a gun or let him get behind the wheel of a 4,000 lb weapon and speed away with kids in the car?

Now the courts will handle it. If they see it like a street execution as I do, that particular officer is going to prison.
