I guess it depends on what kind of sentence he's looking at vs how much Trump is willing to pay for his silence.

If Manafort is only looking at say, 2 - 5 years with time off for good.behavior, and Trump is willing to deposit say, $50 million in an offshore account, he might be willing to spend a couple of years in a Federal country club "prison", playing golf and tennis, having his meals on a landscaped terrace, then retiring to his comfortably appointed "cell", kicking back in his lazy boy and watching his 50" flat screen until he's ready to hit the sack in his spacious, comfy bed.

They should all be very scared!!!!

Pretty sure Manafort made $500 million from Russian oligarchs for his work in overthrowing the Ukrainian govt.

Of course, Trump probably knows about some of Manafort's skeletons that he doesn't want known to the authorities either, so maybe the promise of mutually assured destruction will force Manafort to clam up and take whatever punishment he gets while Trump gets to skate.

That would suck.
