Interestingly, the Scandinavian countries, often touted as having the "fairest" and "Socialist" systems in Europe also have some of the highest wealth disparities among the EU / European nations. If anything, lots of Socialism creates greater wealth inequality.
The United States ranks among the most unequal of all major developed nations, typically falling in the top 10 most unequal countries globally (often ranking around 6th, just behind nations like Russia and South Africa). In terms of income inequality, the U.S. has the second-highest level among advanced OECD countries, behind only Chile.
