Honestly, the worst part of this whole crisis is all of the non-expert "experts" weighing in with definitive opinions - because of an article they saw, or something they heard.

It's amazing to me how much education & experience have been devalued.

Why is it so hard for some to learn from an area that has had incredible success? You read an article or have a hunch, and think you know more than anyone.

The history books ain't gonna be kind to the ridiculous "anti-mask" movement.

It's such a small thing to wear one for awhile. It's been successful wherever it has been done consistently.

Some dude on Fox last night applauded Trump's "defiant stance" for not wearing one. It just boggles. We have such a long way to go as a society.

And are you confusing the NEJM with a Fox or CNN pundit? Fact check them or go back to your sandbox.

Yeah - I use that phrase all the time w/ you guys, on a variety of issues.

I know masks have become political for you. You're w/ Trump. It's likely going to become very definitive that they work.

And like I said - at that point, this will become just one more fun thread to keep bumping. You don't know more than everyone.

Why are you so convinced it is NOT masks? Because you found a few articles?

It's just because of Trump.

He always says "what do we have to lose?" Why not w/ masks? What if every person in the country complied for a month? Let's see what happens. There is more proof that masks work than hydrochlorinique, but you guys all swear by that one.

Stop politicizing everything. Stop mask-shaming. People are trying to do what they can to stop this thing. I find what you are all doing w/ masks - because you're all just SO SURE that they don't work - to be completely despicable.

The "mask-shaming" trend is one of the absolute worst things to come out of this thing. We're seeing some of the best & worst of America right now. Ridiculing masks & those who are doing all they can to stop this virus is in the latter category.

There’s only one, and it’s primary use is an echo chamber. But again, it’s the New England fricking Journal of Medicine that agrees with what I’ve been saying about masks in public.

They’re ineffective. I’d go a step farther and say they spread as many infections as they stop.

As for politicizing them you need to talk to your buddy Cuomo about that. He wants to ‘customize them’ for New Yorkers.

But I'm sure you're right on this one, and the CDC & healthcare professionals around the globe don't know what they're doing.
