Massachusetts Democrats put bill to make Islam a state religion

That's pretty much what Massachusetts bills H.3351 and S.2134 do.

Of course, this is completely unconstitutional and illegal, but it is still being pushed and stands a good chance of being passed into law.

State religion? Where does it say that?
It doesn't just come out and say it, but if you read the provisions in the bill that's what it amounts to.

It establishes a government commission that:

Promotes Islam as a religion

Informs business, cultural, leaders, etc., on issues of Islam. That is, makes these leaders and society conform to Islamic values.

Foster unity among Muslims. This puts Islam and Muslims above other religions with respect to the government.

Acts as a conduit between Islam and the government. That is, the commission works to ensure government an Islam work hand in hand.

Make sure all programs involving government are acceptable to Muslims and the Islamic religion

Advise the legislature and executive / government on fitting proposed legislation and other actions to conform with Islamic religious values.

Increase the role of Islam within the state and society.

That's a state religion. It is completely illegal constitutionally.

The bills as written water the language down and keep it deliberately vague because of this.

Well, it's a bill proposed by all of TWO members of the legislature, two members who apparently believe Hitler was a country. Their statement on Facebook promoting the bill has this goodie: “...there was no need for America to go to war against Hitler. Hitler was not the enemy of America or the American people."

Normally, when a nation declares war on you, as Germany did against the United States after Pearl Harbor, you answer in kind.

Thanks for posting another bill from the commie state of Taxachusetts that proves
just how un-American/un-Christian this bluest state in the union is and always has been.
That lowlife Boston mayor Wu along with the lowlife governor Healy have also made
Boston and the state a sanctuary state and city, and both have also used the airwaves
to denounce and stop ICE from deporting any of their illegals who have found taxpayer
funded refuge inside their city and state.

Both bills are dumb, but nothing close to making Islam the state religion.

It already is a religion. Where does it promote it as a religion?
Informs business, cultural, leaders, etc., on issues of Islam. That is, makes these leaders and society conform to Islamic values.
Don't see that. Out of curiosity, what values would that be? Be specific.
Foster unity among Muslims. This puts Islam and Muslims above other religions with respect to the government.
Don't see that. It's about civil rights for Muslims.
Acts as a conduit between Islam and the government. That is, the commission works to ensure government an Islam work hand in hand.

Make sure all programs involving government are acceptable to Muslims and the Islamic religion
You mean making sure there's no discrimination?
Advise the legislature and executive / government on fitting proposed legislation and other actions to conform with Islamic religious values.
Again, what values? Sharia law?
Increase the role of Islam within the state and society.
Don't see that. It's about the civil rights of Muslims.

Don't let retards form retarded opinions for you. Remember Mark Twain's quote you posted?
The bills as written water the language down and keep it deliberately vague because of this.
It's pretty clear that it's about the civil rights for Muslims. It even says so!

Public schools aren't adequately teaching history.

You would think that we have enough real problems w/o someone trying to make up new ones to be poutraged about.
I definitely do not like the fact that a commission of government employees is showing favoritism for a specific religion. That shouldn't happen and may be in violation of the Constitution, but the implication that it's a step toward a state religion is nonsense.

I disagree. The state of Massachusetts per this bill is not doing it for Christians, Judaism, etc. Just one religion. State funded (per the articles). That pretty much says this is religion the state seeks to promote. I live Mass. Our legislators have become 100% completely unhinged.

Like America has been promoting christ insanity for 250 years?

People get the idea that Massachusetts is this solid blue entity. They are just like most of the rest of the country where an urban cluster of fools dictate to the rest of the state. My son lives in North Adams and I can assure you he's not on board with this insanity.

Surprisingly neither is most of the state. 72% voted for the state to be audited. It was on a ballot (that was fought tooth and nail against). It won with 72% of the vote. What did the state do? Said no, we are not going to do it. Basically fuck you all. This is what happens when one party and one party only has control of everything.
