By shifting the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Trump has surrendered the U.S.' role as unbiased mediator in the region.

It's a titanic move, with zero to gain, and a gargantuan loss for the United States of America.

Thus, pretty much status quo for the Republican party.

Given that Jerusalem was the historical capital of Israel for centuries it made sense to move our embassy there.

The Senate voted on moving it under Clinton but then several presidents failed to act on it. Trump didn’t fail to act.

But even if that starts a war [which it wont] I was talking about invading countries. Thankfully, the neocon lost in 2016.
