I agree that public places (like a flagpole on public property) should not display symbols of any particular group, or of a religion, either. If you open that door, then you have to let *everyone* in. Do we really want to see a Confederate flag on city hall's lawn? A Trump flag? A Black Power flag? A No Kings banner?

He's trolling. He's trying to equate the disallowance of a particular symbol of a particular group with banning that group itself. Notice the odd focus on "Muslim majority." Why bring *that* into the discussion if not to sow dislike and division?

It's not a symbol of Christianity at all, hate or no hate. It's the symbol of America. What a strange belief to have.

It might be more accurate to say "Some people on the left see the U.S. flag as a symbol of aggression/imperialism/dominance" rather than the fictitious "Christian hate."

I'm not going to fight over a flagpole. I've got bigger fish to fry.

I'm perfectly fine with public flagpoles only having the American and state flags, though every municipality can decide for themselves what they want to do.

Since Republicans are now studiously avoiding discussing their Iran War disaster, I predict we will see more diversionary threads from them about flag poles, transgenders, and Sharia law.
