Montana v. Rhode Island

You know it's almost football season when your first thought is I didn't know Montana and Rhode Island were playing this weekend.
This is pretty random comparing a tiny densely populated Northeastern state of just over 1,000 square miles with a massive and sparsely populated Western state of almost 150,000 square miles.
If the goal is to compare states compare similar ones such as Rhode Island and New Hampshire or Montana and Idaho.
That's much more apples to apples.

So conventional wisdom the densely populated urban environment of Rhode Island would have more crime, right?

What I'm saying is comparing two states simply based on population when they have so many other differences seems very random to me.
Rhode Island has Newport, Montana has ______________, all one needs to know
I believe he was trying to find two that are similar in population but opposite in political leanings using Red/Blue as his criteria, a NY/Florida example might have been more entertaining but equally useless
Another gimme this week huh, fans got to wait two weeks to start the season, turnout should be interesting

Not playing Notre Dame this year really hurt our non-conference schedule (and before all this conference realignment we had a home and home scheduled with Ole Miss for this season). I've always wanted to go to the Grove.
A night game could help with attendance and Fresno State fans travel, but the stadium will not be full.
Now you made me go out and Google Yellowstone Club, it is a resort, a ski and golf resort, America has lots of resorts, but few if any with the culture, history, and visuals of Newport, Rhode Island

Well sure, very little on the West Coast is going to have the same level of history as the East Coast. I don't think I've been to Montana but I've had friends go to this Yellowstone Club and the amount of money there is eye opening.
I kinda agree, but the only things I can see would likely trend against Montana.
I lived in Montana for a summer, it seemed low crime to me.
Glad you recognize the history part, and noteworthy and sad is that those on the West Coast show little interest in showing what history they do have, I’ve told you how SF’s local history museum sucks
There exists hundreds of country clubs who have eye opening members, some with sternly limited membership and by invitation only, doesn’t say much other than the locale has a resort with eye opening numbers, this one says little about the State of Montana and certainly nothing noteworthy
