So not only are liberals for allowing unfettered border crossing, catch and release disease into our society, a lot of liberal "academia" wise asses are refusing to vaccinate their own children for some made up fear

So true; I cannot imagine how the Democratic Party of the Jackass think that hating America and making a mockery of its institutions is a winning political message.

There is not a school system in the country that allows children to attend their schools without vaccinations against such diseases!!

Don't intend to rain on your parade and charade- just sayin!

And that is exactly why Democrat leaders are calling for vaccinating non-citizens.

One kid has the mumps, gets detained in a prison, and suddenly you have an outbreak like the one you mentioned!

Ask the parents of Kate Steinle snd the other thousands of families affected by the assaults, rapes and murders by illegals (non-citizens) who are not even supposed to be in this country.

The key paragraph in that article (from my perspective) states:

ICE health officials have been notified of 236 confirmed or probable cases of mumps among detainees in 51 facilities in the past 12 months, compared to no cases detected between January 2016 and February 2018. Last year, 423 detainees were determined to have influenza and 461 to have chicken pox. All three diseases are largely preventable by vaccine“

Los Angeles school systems currently have only about 40% of their kids vaccinated, yet they attend school. Parents can also claim an exception for their kids if they want.

These vaccinations are generally a good idea, but some are allergic to the shots and you can't administer them to such a person without putting their life in danger.

When mumps does break out, the vaccinated kids won't have to suffer from it.
