Nagasaki anniversary.

This thread ban thing is an curious feature. I've never seen anything like this in a messageboard before.

I can think of one guy on a totally different website who I'd exclude from my threads if I could. But since he's not on this site that's a moot point.

I think if I use this feature at all, I will use it sparingly. If I exclude lots of people who disagree with me, I'll be depriving myself of the opportunity to argue with them and point out how they are wrong.

It's not a matter of ' disagreement '- it's a matter of mindless trolling, ad hominem, racism, contrived falsehoods and filth. Most of those on my own thread-ban list compete with each other to be the most uselessly obnoxious.
 
In short- JPP permits all of the above- an aspect of free speech which I support. The personal thread-ban mechanism enables members to avoid their threads becoming contaminated .
