New Numbers Show Just How Badly Trump Wrecked the Economy

^^^ Wrong. Inflation got worse under Gerald Ford, Carter, and Reagan in the 70s and early 80s.

You were only off by ~half a century. 🤣

So from now on nothing you claim can be trusted.
I said "almost".

There was the gas crisis in the 70's, and then WWII.

Plus the flu in 2022 lol.

You were half a century off. That's not "almost."
Almost meant "it was almost the only time since the '30s".

Meaning there was 2022 and one other time.

Read the whole post: it clearly says "there was only one other time since 1930 (over 90 years ago) when inflation was that high)"

Get it? 1930 was over 90 years ago, and there was one other time since then.
You specifically trotted out the depression in the 1930s because you simply didn't know how bad inflation got under Ford, Carter, and early Reagan.
I specifically trotted out the depression in the 1930s because it was almost 100 years ago, and in all that time, inflation was only worse once. That was during the gas crisis era.

Sweden, a nation that didn't shut down, experienced little inflation.
Sweden had worse inflation than the USA, and longer inflation than the USA. Our monthly inflation peaked at 9.1%, while their's peaked at 12.3%. It is fair to say the Fed reacted late, but when they reacted they really reacted. The Riksbank was late to react, and reacted slowly when it did react. The Riksbank even had more warning... But did not take it seriously.

As for the shutdown, that was mostly trump... Worth remembering that.
