New York State Senate Passes Bill Permitting Abortions up to Birth

yada yada..you jumped the shark here with your insane mindset of abortion on demand for any reason UP TO BIRTH , and then call me a nazi.

dude you seriously need some self refection time

It's just Watermark being a trolling arsehole, he'll grow up one day.

We haven't ignored it. We've been busy 1) laughing at how fucking stupid you forced-birthers are in your misinterpretation of this bill, 2) dancing in the streets with our laid-off/non-paid federal employee friends and neighbors over the Toadstool Cave-In, and 3) toasting the arrest of Stone.

It's been a beautiful week for the Forces of Righteousness and Humanity.

So you support full term abortions, hateful bitch.

Once signed by Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo, who has long pushed for expansive abortion-rights legislation, the bill will expand the state’s already liberal abortion regime to allow late-term abortions when “the patient is within twenty-four weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health.”

The legislation provides a further exception to permit abortion at any point during pregnancy if a health-care practitioner deems it necessary for the mother’s life or health — the exception that was defined in Roe companion case Doe v. Bolton as “all factors — physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age — relevant to the wellbeing of the patient.” In other words, abortion will be available to women essentially on demand up to the point of birth. The RHA will also decriminalize abortion, moving it from the state’s criminal code to the public-health code....more

Where did you earn your doctorate in medicine and where did you do your residency in gynecology and obstetrics?

I certainly do. There is a time and a place for them. People who lack the education, training and professional experience shouldn’t be judging or tying the hands of those whom do.

That means that Preacher Bob, Reverand Thistlewaight, Father Chester, Conservative Male Politicians, etc., who are utterly unqualified to make such professional judgments shouldn’t be making decisions for women that can get them killed or seriously injured.

Well Mott, I may not be an OB but I know a thing or two about the subject lol.

And I’m really interested in the medical necessity question. The only ‘life critical’ situation [that I am aware of] in very late term pregnancy is ’abruptio placenta’ where the placenta prematurely separates from the uterus and causes fetal distress and bleeding.

The situation can be about as critical as critical gets since two lives are threatened at once: the mother can bleed out and the fetus/baby can die—pretty quickly. Yes, it can be a very stressful situation lol. Especially, at 3am. Darth earns his money quite often. Darth is way under paid in many instances—but that’s another topic.

At any rate, c-sections are performed in that instance. I can’t think of an instance where it’s medically necessary to abort a very late term *viable* fetus—where a c-section is contraindicated, and only an abortion would save the life of the mother.

Perhaps you can help me.

What about acute hydrocephalus?

It's a c/p Mott. Th law ( or now lack of a law) doesn't require medical training to understand when the criteria is abortion up to birth for the "health of the mother" - including mental health

sheesh.
does the kid have any rights? I don't usually call a fetus a child , but when it's right upto birth it is ( C- Section birth)

I can see you are the new board idiot. welcome aboard .

What do you call an abortion right up to birth, done for the mental health of the mother?
And a doctor or a psychiatrist doesn't even need to make the diagnosis -just a "health care professional"

It's no longer even in criminal law it's been shifted to health codes. Infanticide '

Well done, isasander - irritate the buggers to death if you can!
