'No friends left': Internet roasts Trump over cringe G7 photo

And your talking about success that doesn’t exist

List um up loser
I think Trump has been pretty successful at deporting illegal aliens who shouldn't be in the US to begin with and securing our borders. I think he's been reasonably successful at finding and trying to eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government. Trump was a serious reason the World Cup is being played in the US this year.

That's three.

I can see him conniving, but I just don't think he has the clout, the star power, the cult following of the Carrot-in-Chief. Trump gets away with venality because the GOP is terrified he'll say something mean about them if they dare to oppose him. No one gives a shit what Vance says because he doesn't have an army of flying monkeys to unleash on those who are "disloyal."
I agree. Vance is a snake and too many voters see he's a snake. Speaking of snakes, he was in the news yesterday praising Nixon.

Got any links to how killing Americans in American streets is considered a success by the American voter?

His immigration and DOGE actions are not approved of by the people

How the fuck is that a success in a Democracy?

Show me proof that it was a great success and that it was Trumps doing

Soccer didn’t need trump for anything

You mean his promise he wouldn't deport the athletes. What a statesman!

Not Nixon. Watergate. Nixon did achieve a small handful of things that benefitted society. Blind squirrel, as it were. Praising Nixon is ok in the narrowest of aspects.

Vance defended the Watergate debacle as 'the deep state coming after Nixon'. He believes that today (in the nightmare that is trumpworld) Watergate would be a 12 hour news piece.

He was whelped by a crack whore who didn't even stick around to raise him. MAGA loves to tout his ability to rise above, but trash begets trash and guyliner does not make one a success. Or respectable.

Obama deported more, yet you forgot to post your approval.

Is that so?

Admiring Nixon as a "political genius" and noting his legacy " is subjective but grounded in reality. Nixon had major achievements, including opening to China, détente with the USSR, ending U.S. combat in Vietnam, creating the EPA, and other domestic initiatives.

Vance's opinion about modern media and politics are not a historical falsehood. In today's fragmented, partisan, short-attention-span environment (cable news, social media, endless scandals), many controversies do fade quickly.

Nixon's era had different norms around institutional trust and media. Whether one agrees, it's a debatable point about cultural shifts rather than a "defense".

These are interpretive takes open to disagreement.

Whether you find it persuasive or not depends on your biases.

No, I didn't. Obama also let in far more. You forgot to post your disapproval.

Obama's administration deported (formally removed) over 400,000 people per year (record highs for formal removals), but it also allowed/approved millions to stay or gain relief through legal immigration, asylum, parole, DACA, TPS expansions, and deferred action.

  • DACA (2012): Protected ~800,000+ young immigrants from deportation (with work permits). This was expanded later.
  • Deferred action and parole programs: For parents of U.S. citizens/LPRs DAPA and others allowed hundreds of thousands to benefit from "temporary" relief.
  • Asylum and refugee admissions: Tens of thousands were approved annually.
  • TPS (Temporary Protected Status) extensions: For nationals from countries like Haiti, El Salvador, etc.
  • Legal immigration overall: Millions of green cards, visas, etc., issued annually (family, employment, etc.).
  • Immigration court outcomes: Significant percentages of cases resulted in relief (cancellation of removal, asylum grants). By later years, over 50% of some court closures allowed stays.

The "undocumented" population remained in the 10–12 million range during Obama's Reign of Error.

He defended Nixon as well, said Nixon was undergoing a "renaissance". If so, it must be one man renaissance from Vance. His "12 hour news piece" comment, suggesting only the break-in, not the coverup and lying to Congress, was the reason for the impeachment shows Vance doesn't know what he's talking about or is attempting a historical coverup of his own.

Haberman on Trump: The start of the document says, essentially, "Donald Trump is the most powerful person who has ever walked the face of the earth." And then he proceeds to tick off what he describes as the top 10, Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Tamerlane, Genghis Khan...He was making no moral distinction at all between people who had murdered and people who had conquered or people who had built empires. It was that they had power and they were willing to use it. And that was how he was seeing himself.

I don't have to defend Trump on everything any more than I have to hate on him for everything he does. The Left DOES have to hate on him for everything he does. Hell, they won't even praise the success of the World Cup because Trump is in office and they might have to give him some credit for that.
"Success of the World Cup"??? LOL!!! Either you're lying or ignorant.

So, the above is just the Trump hating media making sour grapes out of things. The World Cup did generate revenues, pretty good ones, just not as high as the FIFA was predicting. It certainly also has had a positive public relations outcome with all the foreign fans raving about the US even as the MSM both here and overseas tries hard to downplay that.
