Northern Europe Deforestation Up 49% Due To Effort To Meet CO2 Targets

ssure I can understand specific uses -but not as a nat gas replacement.
wood stoves are foul. they put particles into the air -they stink and make my throat raw

Wood smoke pollutants include fine particulates, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, dioxins, and furans. Breathing air containing wood smoke can cause a number of serious respiratory and cardiovascular health problems.

Many ppl her have wood burning fire places & use them....... They are only about 10% efficient @ best...... Average wood stove or fire place insert is about 80% tops....... & anyone down wind would agree they are foul, those cozy inside perhaps not.:dunno:

I had a fireplace & wood stove @ my last house.. Woodstoves can burn whenever, w/ up to ten days restricted per year..........

I liked it as I had some property up in the hills w/ free wood, & Nati gas was to heat the home..

Unfortunately the smoke would rise & then slowly fall into the court across the street making my neighbors unhappy........ & I could see why..

I do not have a real fireplace any more (Nati gas insert) nor a woodstove..

Our eyes, & throats agree as we have had essentially unhealthy air for a week w/out a break........
