Saying how's the draining the swamp thing going is basically meant as a derogatory statement towards Trump supporters but if they are happy with him it's not all effective of a comment
cawackos argument is "Draining the swamp" is a subjective statement, and that just because you aren't happy, doesn't mean that many trump supporters don't see it that way or that they would disagree that the swamp is not being drained.

I didn't immediately start a thread as soon as I got a GOP talking point, which upon even a small amount of research proves that there really isn't the "media bias" you claim (for starters, Obama's action wasn't announced and flew pretty far under the radar - oh, and it was also in response to a specific action).

Liberals have culture privilege. They are raised in a society where the school system and the teachers unions espouses liberal dogma, all the way up to liberal academia. They grow up where all the art they consume, all the bands they like, all the movies they watch, conforms to their own belief systems. Anyone that is conservative knows what it is like growing up and having to write a paper in a way to conform to a professors beliefs so you can't get docked a grade. We know what it is like to listen to a bands music even if we dont agree with their politics. We watch movies by shill leftists actors.
Conservatives are used to living in a society that they know doesn't always agree with them. Liberals are not used to this. This can be readily seen in last years election. It wasn't a matter of just thinking clinton was the favorite, that's a perfectly reasonable assumption. The issue was they "COULDN'T GRASP, couldn't even CONCEIVE of trump winning. The thought was equivalent to daydreaming about your child being eaten by hyaenas. You just mentally don't want to go there. SO the huffing paint post said Clinton was 98% to win. Liberals on JPP said it was impossible for trump to win. Again, they have culture privilege and they couldn't even SEE another whole part of america waiting in the wings.
So when the culture that liberals have grown up in and has been reinforced since childhood suddenly shifts, it's like they have had a mental break with reality. Everything they believed in was a lie. Yes, trump can actually be elected. No, 62 million people don't have a problem with trump grabbing pussy. Yes, Clinton really is hated. It's like in the movie a beautiful mind where russel crowe finds out the people in his life are just skitzo hallucinations. This is what you are seeing from many liberals.
When Obama was elected, conservatives were like "damn that sucks" and of course some went off the handle, but mentally, it wasn't like an unexpected thing. THey knew obama was possible. In fact conservatives sat on the sidelines watching doe eyed retarded morons fall for hope and change. Now though, for liberals, their very sense of reality is under assault and under question. That is why you see protest signs like "this is not normal" and how they dont want some of trumps actions to be "normalized." Again, it can't be overemphasized, because of liberal culture privilege, their entire view of reality has been shattered, and if you put yourself in their shoes, you can see how traumatizing something like that would be.
