Oklahoma Bible mandate challenged in Court

Are you serious?

Have you never met a Christian or been exposed to the religion at all?

It is the central theme;

  • Ephesians 1:7 – “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.”
  • Colossians 1:20 – “...and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
  • Hebrews 9:22 – “Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.”
  • 1 Peter 1:18-19 – “...knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”
  • Revelation 1:5 – “...and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood...”
  • Romans 5:9 – “Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.”
  • Hebrews 13:12 – “So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood.”
  • 1 John 1:7 – “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

As for a personal relationship with Jesus;

  • John 15:15 – “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
  • John 10:14-15 – “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.”
  • John 17:3 – “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
  • Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
  • John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
  • Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
  • Philippians 3:8-10 – “...I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. ... that I may know him and the power of his resurrection...”
  • John 15:4-5 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches...”

The Nazi bum hates @Jerry Mathers me because I was raised on the first half of the Bible - but I am well aware of both halfs. And reject both.

Now THAT is the way you answer a question!!

Well done! Nothing further from me.

You are not going to require Jack shit.

Oh dear. Cypress has tripped and hit his head and is now hyper-literal.

The University of California does not need your permission

Oh my, Cypress now assumes that I care about this point in the discussion.

to provide a comprehensive suite of religious studies coursework on Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism Islam, Hinduism.

No University of California student needs your permission to enroll in an Introduction to Hinduism class.

Public high schools and colleges are free to teach world religions objectively, as long as they don't promote the practice of any one particular religion. No university or highschool in California needs an authoritarian like you to approve it.

Have you read any of my posts? I mean actually read them?

So tell me what "sum of the law and the prophets" means, Bible scholar wannabe.
