We don't know that but I do see a look of "I wish Trump would shut up" on Rubio's face. He would have been a much better president than Trump. He is smarter, has a much better understanding of consequences than Trump, plus he has a much longer fuse. I predict Vance understands that and will use his family as a reason for not running opening the door for Rubio.
That said, I would love to pick a democrat, say Shapiro, as his running mate.
