And they're smart to run.... because in an active shooting situation the real good guys with guns don't know WHO the bad guy is... so if you've got a gun, they're not going to ask for your good guy card.

Same with the college shooting up in OR a few years ago. A guy who was on campus and armed was interviewed and said he didn't do anything because he didn't want to be misidentified as the shooter by the cops.

There was an opinion piece written after the Las Vegas massacre by a member of one of the bands there. He said that their band bus had all kinds of weapons. They all ran there to take shelter and no one DARED to get a gun and go out looking for the shooter for fear of being shot by the police. He is now a gun control advocate. His is a voice worth listening to.... he's been there, seen that, could have died.
