Oz vs. Fetterman (Lurch) debate

Oz lies:

Fear-mongering about GMOs
Claim that apple juice contains arsenic
Deceptive advertising ... after he sang the praises of green coffee bean extract as a "miracle" weight loss pill
Pushing horse paste to fight coronavirus though its effects were unproven
Claimed that raspberry ketones are "
the No. 1 miracle in a bottle to burn your fat."
Astrological signs may reveal a great deal about a person's health
Umckaloabo root is effective at relieving cold symptoms and helps fight influenza
Using lavender soap is beneficial for leg cramps
Mixture of strawberries and baking soda can whiten teeth

I'm not going to take the time to run each of these HORRIBLE grievances down but here are a couple for you. Remember that we doctors have differences of opinions every day. You should get the point.

Supporting Document for Action Level for Arsenic in Apple Juice

In recent assessments, the Joint Food and Agriculture Organization/World Health Organization (FAO/WHO) Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) (Ref. 2), which includes participation by U.S. FDA scientists, concluded that food can be a major contributor to inorganic arsenic exposure, and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) (Ref. 3) concluded that dietary exposure to inorganic arsenic should be reduced. These findings suggest a need to reduce exposure to inorganic arsenic from food.

Apple juice is one source of exposure to inorganic arsenic from food. Apple juice is a greater potential source of dietary inorganic arsenic exposure to children than to adults, because children’s dietary patterns are often less varied than those of adults, and they consume more apple juice relative to their body weight than do adults (Ref. 4).

From Pearl Dentistry.

1. Toothpaste + Baking Soda
This is by far the easiest way. Just sprinkle a little baking soda on your toothpaste and brush your teeth as you normally do.

2. Water And Baking Soda
The most common teeth whitening way is to use a mixture of baking soda and water. Take a cup or small bowl, add a few drops of water with half a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, and stir to make a paste. Use your finger or toothbrush, apply the paste on your teeth, and leave it like that for 2-3 minutes. Now thoroughly rinse with water.

3. Baking soda and lemon
Lemon contains citric acid, which is a natural bleaching agent. Take half a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it with half a teaspoon lemon juice, and make up a paste to whiten your teeth. Brushing your teeth with this lemon-soda mixture will do wonders.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide And Baking soda
Brush your teeth with a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to whiten your smile. To form a mixture, take a half teaspoon or a little more baking soda and mix it with half teaspoon hydrogen peroxide until you get a sticky semi-liquid solution. Use this toothpaste-like mixture to brush your teeth and let it sit for 1-2 minutes. Now rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash.

Also this one is interesting. I'm not sure where I land on ivermectin use. I certainly is a POLITICAL tether-ball

This is a pretty comprehensive study review of multiple studies with interesting results.

Ivermectin for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infection: A Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, and Trial Sequential Analysis to Inform Clinical Guidelines

The findings indicate with moderate certainty that ivermectin treatment in COVID-19 provides a significant survival benefit. Our certainty of evidence judgment was consolidated by the results of trial sequential analyses, which show that the required IS has probably already been met. Low-certainty evidence on improvement and deterioration also support a likely clinical benefit of ivermectin. Low-certainty evidence suggests a significant effect in prophylaxis. Overall, the evidence also suggests that early use of ivermectin may reduce morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. This is based on (1) reductions in COVID-19 infections when ivermectin was used as prophylaxis, (2) the more favorable effect estimates for mild to moderate disease compared with severe disease for death due to any cause, and (3) on the evidence demonstrating reductions in deterioration.

It's an honorary title and he can't teach or practice.

Your leap to professional jealousy is just a deflection. How about just for once considering that Oz touted some kookie beliefs and practices?

He is less traditional than I am. But nothing is really harmful. It's not like he wants to release violent criminals back on the streets. Your list of grievances was pretty amusing actually.

You do realize that Dr. Barry Marshall guy that won the Nobel prize for treatment of ulcers with antibiotics was thrown out of a medical convention for presenting his "radical" ideas on ulcer treatment that later earned him a Nobel prize in medicine. And prior to that people were treated for ulcers with high dairy product diets... That is actually harmful because it stimulates the stomach to make more acids.

Any scoop on the Stillers v. the Iggles this coming weekend? :D

Steelers are 2-5 and the Eagle hosting with 6-0. It doesn't look good for the Steelers. If you have money on the Steelers, I'd balance it with a bet on the Eagles. :)

You say he was fired got proof?

No, the school refused to fire him, against the will of the other teaching staff. But his tenure there was still in debate among the Administrative staff, and they wanted him to go because they felt his opinions he was shelling out in the classroom to future doctors on Science and medicine were quack and dangerous.

Realizing his fate and his unpopularity among the staff and administration, he quit within just weeks after it all boiled up, and he ended up on the Oprah Winfrey Show!

He even infected himself with some soup laced with bile, now that's true dedication.

Ivermectin is still being tested as part of the PRINCIPLE trial.

Almost three years in and the expert consensus still claims to not be able to figure out if Ivermectin works.

They either dont want to know or they are incompetent, this does not take anything close to three years to do.

It works if you use a gallon of it as an enema.

Fetterman stumbles during debate when questioned about flip-flop on support for fracking.

Hell, he fell down with his contradictory lies.

So you lied about him TWICE.

Sounds like you have personal experience.

I saw it on Facebook and pass it along for all the Pedo Don fans. It looks like you could use a cleanse, doc BS.

Why do you feel compelled to overcompensate when posting to me? Do I really intimidate you so much, geezer?

I repeated what his campaign and doctors said, that he has an auditory processing disorder, not Broca's or Wernicke's aphasia. I'll stick with people who know him and have treated him, not some unidentified doctor on TV.

You've spouted a lot of lies about him on this thread, the latest being that he doesn't have a hard work ethic.
Christie :palm: Broca's or Wernicke's aphasia are both auditory processing disorders. Where did his campaign doctor say he did NOT have Broca's or Wernicke's aphasia?
You mean the Dr. that is a contributor to Fetterman's campaign? Dr. Chen is a Family Practice doctor not a neurologist. He is not qualified to make the diagnosis.

Why exactly do you think they refuse to release his medical record.

Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman received a wave of criticism Wednesday after releasing a letter written by his primary care physician who has also donated to Fetterman's campaign, according to public records.

Fetterman's team released a letter Wednesday written by Dr. Clifford Chen, a family practice physician, after Chen had met with Fetterman on Friday. According to the letter, Chen said Fetterman was recovering well after suffering a life-altering stroke in May, and said the Democratic candidate could "work full duty in public office."

According to public records from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Chen has donated $1,330 to Fetterman's campaign, most recently contributing $100 September 23 to "Fetterman for PA."
https://www.newsweek.com/fetterman-knocked-health-report-his-doctor-also-campaign-donor-1753389

Here is something that bothers me.

Fetterman has attended speech therapy since the stroke, takes medication to prevent future strokes and can walk four to five miles without difficulty, Chen wrote.

His chance of having another stroke is 20% so meds REDUCE the chance of future strokes but DO NOT prevent the chance of a future stroke.

Among other things, the AP story showed that:
Fetterman’s daily schedule was BLANK for 33 percent of workdays in 2019 when he first took office.
A typical workday for Fetterman was between 4 and 5 hours.
The AP noted that “Fetterman’s campaign didn’t explain the gaps in his schedule.”
He booked national media interviews “during times he otherwise had state business to attend to.”
Records show that Fetterman skipped at least 53 city council meetings during his 13 years as the town’s mayor, or roughly one-third of the meetings held during his tenure.
“Fetterman’s 2015 financial disclosure when he first ran for U.S. Senate showed that he was paid just $1,800 a year to be Braddock’s mayor and lived off $54,000 given to him by his parents that year alone.”

Negative, Doctor Bullshit. I use real doctors, not fake ones on the Internet.

Do you recommend your grandkids use Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin? Yes or no, please.

Absolutely.
