I guess in your euphoria, you and your fellow libs are missing the larger point I am making and your teeny tiny, unevolved political minds can only grasp Democrat won; Republican lost.
All I am saying, which is too difficult for you to grasp is that if Lamb votes according to his positions, I have another Pro gun/Pro Life vote in the House of Representatives. Why should I be upset about that?
I am no longer a Republican. I care about policy positions.
I didn't follow the race very closely, but I did listen to Lamb on PMSNBC this morning and he is a pretty vanilla fella.
Other than a democrat won, I am failing to see the all repudiation of conservatism, but hey if you feel good that is all that matters.
Have a blessed day
I am a Democrat.
I am theoretically opposed to abortions. I wish they didn't happen. But I know that they just do and will continue to, whether legal or illegal. Given the reality of that, I prefer that they and their related health services remain legal and accessible, especially to the socio-economic group most likely to require them. So, if I was a politician, even though I am theoretically opposed to abortions, I would always vote to keep them legal and adequately funded.
I am also theoretically opposed to guns. I don't like them. I wish there weren't anywhere near as many of them floating around in society as there are. But I know the Constitution allows for them so they aren't going away. If I were a politician I would vote for common sense gun control laws but not for anything that went too far. But the opposite could hold true as well. A guy like Lamb can be pro-second Amendment and still vote for increased gun control laws.
My point in all this? Just knowing somebody's overall stance on an issue is no indication of how that person will vote on laws surrounding those issues.
IOW.... don't count your chickens.
Oh, and one more thing... one more guy with a D next to his name is one less guy with an R next to his name in the quest for regaining leadership and control of the House, the Speakership and all the committee chairs and decision making powers that go with it.
Seems as though if your political mind was as evolved as you seem to think it is, that would've been apparent to you.
Have a blessed day.
