A debate with Trump is like a Comedian on JPP.
Without an incredibly strong moderator,
Comedians will just use the forum to throw power tantrums and toss red meat to his audience.
If there is no Comedians, there are no Comedians to debate.
I still think the Comedy is in the contrast between a con man and empathetic leader.

This is bad optics for Biden. It’s like not wanting to fight someone: no matter what the excuse—it comes off as an excuse. Then there’s the argument that it’s not fair to voters. Why should voters be deprived of the opportunity to see the two candidates in a debate?
Just suck it up because Democrats want to win?
There’s no ‘easy out’ for Biden’s campaign on it. Even the COVID excuse doesn’t work because they are having conventions in spite of it.
It’s not a good look.
What makes you think Biden will listen to Pelosi's suggestion? Besides, it's bad optics for Trump actually. He will come off look like a buffoon. He has demonstrated that over and over again at press conferences.

Way to change the subject. Trump hasn't used vulgarity to dismiss reporters or voters in a fact-to-face setting. Biden has, repeatedly, for years. Trump does have some ideas that are definitely out there, Obama's birth certificate comes to mind. But he hasn't been incoherent in addressing that. You can disagree with those ideas, even dismiss them as kooky, but it doesn't make Trump insane or senile just a bit of a conspiracy theorist.
As for "fragile?" Trump is anything but that. Sure he has an ego the size of a planet...
But that doesn't make him a senile old kook who can't remember what day of the week it is like Biden. Many top world leaders have massive egos. The best can keep it in check in public. Trump wears his like a chest full of medals. So?
