"Having a penis thrust in your face at a drunken dorm party may seem like harmless fun," the original tweet read. "But when Brett Kavanaugh did it to her, Deborah Ramirez says, it confirmed that she didn't belong at Yale in the first place."
The Times then deleted the tweet after it received intense backlash on social media, saying it was "poorly phrased." However, their explanation tweet appears to have also been deleted.

In the original tweet, the Times linked to their Saturday exposé, which centered around Kavanaugh accuser Ramirez, who accused the Supreme Court justice of thrusting his penis into her face at a dormitory party during their time together as students at Yale University.
In the report, a new allegation also emerged from a male classmate, who recalled an incident involving Kavanaugh that echoes Ramirez's story. Max Stier told the outlet he "saw Mr. Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different drunken dorm party, where friends pushed his penis into the hand of a female student."
The latest accusation follows several other sexual misconduct allegations against the Supreme Court justice, including that of Christine Blasey Ford, who testified during Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings that he had attempted to force himself on her at a high school party in the 1980s....
