Actually, this or sheer incompetence, seems to be the case. There were at least half-a-dozen other capitol police within about ten (10) feet of Babbitt when she was shot, and not one of them was doing anything violent to the crowd. Why would one, who in the videos, clearly had his firearm drawn well before Babbitt tried to move through that window even have his weapon out at all when no other officer present had theirs draw?
