Please explain/justify this

The homosexual and lesbian lifestyle, without outside intervention, is a death of civilization lifestyle.

I can remember distinctly the homosexual community, decades ago, telling us that oh no, we won’t allow this to be in our high school or our grade school classrooms...just in our college classrooms.

Now, it‘s in high school, middle school and grammar school.

It was “incrementalism” at its worst and a lie.

The morality of sexuality should not be taught at any primary school level and only the biology of sexuality should be taught at the high school level.

The morality of any subject is the preview of the PARENTS.

I am being serious. I don't understand the logic of denying a book about internment camps because it doesn't present "both sides".

I would love to understand the rational for this. Please!

Middle America, for the most part, is and always has been morally deficient.
It should be a different nation than the coasts, although Florida could be handed over to them without objection.

Because it was not balanced.

With your twisted logic, historical books about “justified slavery” are just fine to be taught to young school children.
Did/can you read the article?

The book was for a 10th grade literature class.

There is no "both sides" to internment camps. There is racist fear leading to American Citizens being locked up and there is the victims of racist fear.

Teaching just one side of an issue is unacceptable at any grade level.

The ultra liberal, FDR authorized the internment and he was right.

It and the atomic bomb saved lives, one of whom was my brother and hundreds of thousands of American soldiers’ lives, if we had to invade Japan.

OP link: "Zielke said she was told “we can’t just provide one side or the other side” before the parent pressed Boyer about the issue, demanding the board member clarify her definition of “other.”

“What she said to me was that we actually need an ‘American’ perspective,’” said Zielke, who said she pointed out that those who were incarcerated were, in fact, Americans, before the conversation grew increasingly heated.

“She clarified and said that she felt that we needed the perspective of the American government and why Japanese internment happened. And so then again, we had raised voices at this point. I told her specifically, I said, ‘The other side is racism.’” "

Darn right it is.

I have to wonder how that school board approaches other issues. Do they maintain that there is a god? Or do they make it clear the choice of whether to believe or not is up to each individual.

How do they handle issues like Climate Change, The Civil War, Gay Rights, and racism?

Do they allow our real black history to be taught?

How about what was done to the indigenous people of America as Europeans moved in?

Do they still go with the 'Columbus discovered America' thing?

Maybe they think Cortez was a hero...

"Some school officials have been accused of warning teachers not to wear rainbow articles of clothing and to remove pictures of their same-sex spouses from their desks."

Some makes me nervous. Usually that means a minimal amount. Usually used to scare and divide. However, it does negate the "no it is not" narrative.

A provision in the law also requires school staff members to alert parents about “critical decisions affecting a student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being,” which many advocates have interpreted as a way to force educators to out their gay or trans students. When teachers “believe that disclosure would result in abuse, abandonment, or neglect,” they are exempt from doing so.
advocates not the law
Orange County Classroom Teachers Association accused school officials Monday of verbally warning educators not to wear rainbow articles of clothing and to remove pictures of their same-sex spouses from their desks and LGBTQ safe space stickers from classroom doors. The district’s legal department confirmed in a statement provided to the teachers’ association, which covers the Orlando area, that staff members who come into contact with students in kindergarten through third grade were cautioned about LGBTQ issues.
im in Orange county Fl..
extreme Democratic and liberal..but sill this is what their legal dept warned - again not the law
(per your link)

This was a world war against Japan/Axis powers
Yes there are "2 sides: the worry was Japanese might be collaborators.

Looking back you can scream "racist" -at the time it was a national security concern
which is why both sides need to be taught -you can still call it racist, but you learn there was a non-racist motive

No it isn’t racism.

We were in a world war. Our country was not guaranteed a win.

The ultra liberal, FDR, put this policy in effect under world wartime conditions.

He was right, it saved lives and possibly the war and it was not racism.

Strange Germans weren't rounded up on the east coast even though U boats were in east coast waters

Again, derp, it is being presented as LITERATURE. We had to read "The Grapes of Wrath" in h.s. Today you worshipers-of-ignorance would ban that as well, since it doesn't show the plight of the poor struggling landowners ̶e̶x̶p̶l̶o̶i̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ employing the migrant Dust Bowl refugees. Then there was "Catch 22." Nope, no other side there, portraying the struggling Axis powers just trying to take over the world. Ditto for "Hiroshima," "1984," the kids in "Lord of the Flies," etc.

Basically what you desire most of all is to raise children as devoid of empathy, compassion, and critical thinking skills as you all are.

You truly are insane. This revelation explains a lot.

No, dummy, it’s indoctrination and propaganda.

So, you thought at first it was “exploiting” but then realized how stupid you are.

Good job.
