1. There are no tariffs on Canadian oil. None. And tariffs would only be counter-productive for Trump & America, so it's not gonna happen.
2. The premier of Alberta said in no uncertain terms that there will be NO disruption in oil flow.

The trade war between the US and Canada is simply NOT affecting the price of gas in a measurable way. The "ripple effect" would be negligible. Not even $1/bbl.

In any event, the trade war is NOT having ANY effect on the price of gas in the US. Period. Your meme was stupid, because you are stupid.

FYI Alberta oil only accounts for about 15% of America's usage, and the chances of Alberta oil being affected by the trade war is only about 1%. And a 1% chance of some kind of change to 15% of America's oil supply does not make a difference to the overall price. Not at all.

FYI there would have been a very slight fluctuation on the day that the premier of Ontario said "Let's get Alberta to stop shipping oil to the US", but things went back to normal when Alberta's premier kiboshed that idea completely. She has even met with Trump to talk about this personally:

• The Meeting: Smith met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, where they discussed trade, US tariffs, and energy partnership
• The Oil Discussion: Smith inquired about Trump's interest in purchasing more Canadian oil and gas to support American refineries that rely on heavy crude, and Trump agreed
• The Strategy: Smith has used these discussions to position Alberta as a reliable energy partner for the United States, arguing against using oil as a retaliatory tool in trade disputes and instead pushing for stronger energy cooperation and pipeline expansions

There's as much chance that Alberta separates from Canada as there is that Alberta tries to stop the flow of oil to the US.
