Interesting take on folks at their own home in a private neighborhood.
Great example. These people were arrested and convicted, pardoned by the Governor, then had to fight to keep their law licenses and get their weapons back after their records were expunged. As an example of "people who brought weapons to a protest" these two are not particularly good considering the protest came to them and they were on their own property. They also were arrested and convicted. So.... Yeah. Not such a great example of how they "can" bring weapons to a protest.
Since you think they "brought weapons" to a protest, can you explain how that happened when they were on their own property?

Even more interesting is your take on people brandishing guns at people on public sidewalks. If a black person did that to white people, would you still be so eager to defend them?
Brandishing is against the law. Do you understand that by accepting a pardon, they accept their guilt even if it's not the same as guilty plea? Being on their own property didn't matter. By brandishing weapons, specifically pointing them at innocent people, they were participating in the protest regardless if they stayed on their own property. Not a lawyer, but the incident is well documented.
