In case @zymurgy forgets when Jim Jordan his Congress committee got Jack SMith to testify before them, Jim Jordan ADMITTED everything Jack Smith was factual and correct and yet he STILL referred him for investigation and prosecution by the DoJ based on a concept that DOES NOT exist in law saying basically 'Jack SMith should have known what information we were looking for and volunteered it and not doing so is deception'.
What that means is simply saying 'words', even correct and honest ones, to this magat Congress will get you referred to DoJ as they do not care about fact or truth and just want to inconvenience the person and cost them money and time.

You wrote two paragraphs rebutting an argument I never made.
I did not say the pardon protects Fauci from lying today. I said the meme dishonestly compares people facing prosecution for their past conduct with a man who had already received a sweeping federal pardon for the very period Congress was investigating. That distinction obviously matters.
And your Jack Smith example merely explains why a lawyer might still advise Fauci to remain silent: testimony today could create a new perjury or false-statements charge. Fine. That makes pleading the Fifth legally prudent; it does not make the meme’s comparison intellectually honest. Even legal experts defending Fauci acknowledge that his remaining exposure concerns post-pardon testimony, possible state liability, or matters outside the pardon—not federal prosecution for the pardoned conduct itself.
So congratulations: after the insults and MAGA tantrum, you eventually proved that Fauci’s circumstances are materially different from everyone pictured—which was my entire point.
