In this mid-term election, there are no national candidates. All elections are 'local.' That means the individual races have to be polled, not some collective national survey. How people vote in New York will have ZERO impact on how people vote, or who gets elected, in Texas.

So, any use of aggregate voter preference nationally is complete bullshit particularly when you consider that blue states have a population edge.
