There was supposed to be a red wave during the 2022 midterms which never materialized, so I don't put much faith in midterm polling data.

At this point in 2022 Biden was a dementia-rotted no-show with the Afghanistan debacle under his belt, plus all of his covid atrocities, yet the Dems still kept control of the Senate.

By contrast, Trump already crushed the Dems' border issue and put the boots to Iran, America's biggest problem right now is oil prices, which will go down when the Iran war ends.

Dumb comparisons.

There is just one big dynamic in this election: Trump’s growing unpopularity. A fairly hilarious measure of it is the announced plan to pay Americans $5,000 if Republicans retain control of Congress, a promise he repeated again yesterday, The lure hasn’t helped his polls a bit. Instead it’s exposed how little trust the country has in his promises.

It’s completely wild that JD Vance is genuinely telling Americans to stop griping over "little things" like inflation and war just because we got a new ballroom and a revamped reflecting pool out of the deal.Honestly, it’s hard to believe anyone could look at the real, everyday struggles people are facing right now and think a shiny new Air Force One somehow balances the scales, let alone justifies giving them two more years in power.

We got our midterm ballots in the mail the other day. Yesterday we each got a letter from the township telling us not to fill them out because they have a mistake and the clerk will issue new ones. If you already sent it back in or dropped it off, you have to go in person to get the correct one. How odd.
 
When the Dems lose maybe they should become Insurrectionists if they feel they were cheated ? Remember now what the left all said should have happened to the J6ers right,...RIGHT?

We have election signs all over, mostly in town but also along the highway we take into town. Other than two local races, there are so far no signs for (R) candidates for governor, U.S. senator, or U.S. rep. Our Senate race is one of the most closely-watched nationally, with Social Democrat El-Sayed versus doesn't-even-live-in-Michigan MAGAT Rogers. Anecdotal evidence, of course, but also a sign of voter enthusiasm.
